All versions of Leia have several things in common: her dress is reminiscent of her A New Hope dress, and yes, she's cinnamon bunning it up. She shifts between young, full of Hope Leia to post TLJ Leia who can't see if there is any hope left. And all the while, she's made to serve, to play an instrument, to dance, and to be helpless in her picture frame.

She will be testy or super kind or broken-hearted or any wide variety of emotions as she ages and deages throughout the night.

	Luke stood by Leia's portrait, watching the dance floor carefully but being his hermity, wallflower self. He's watching carefully for Rey, over the other Leias and Anakins/Vaders. He's taking it all in slowly as he ponders his next moves carefully. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	The painting shifts from day to night, and with it, goes Leia's age. As the years take its toll on her and the night falls, she withers and loses her youthful hope. For now, she completely ignores Sabine. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Sabine kind of assumes he's one of the fairy possessed people tbh.

But he's not stopping her either, so that's kind of like helping. and what's a corset but really stupid non-beskar armor? Her skirt makes it harder to get close to the wall but Sabine's creative. She'll take off her gloves unmount the painting (unless it's like seriously fastened to the wall) so she can look at the back.

Luke considers her carefully. His beard is trimmed and his hair looks cut, which makes him harder for others to identify with the mask and all his finery. This is how Luke should have somehow aged. Not as the old hermit.

"No thank you," he says. His voice is flat, as though being polite to this version of his sister took effort. It doesn't take the force, which he is cut off from, to know nothing is as it appears. But he doesn't consider the portrait behind him, which reminds him more of a recorded holo than a person.

He watches the servant carefully to see how she reacts.

Luke's expression changes. It's hard to tell, but he's glaring behind his mask. Either at this poor excuse for his sister, or what his sister is being forced to do. He isn't sure which option is worse.

"No," he says, a little more firmly. There was some talk on the holo from the others not to eat or drink anything at the ball. He doesn't know if that's true but he plans on heeding that advice. His eyes search for Fray and Rey, to see where they are and how they're doing.

Leia ages. Her brown hair fills with grey, wrapping around the buns like weeds. She no longer smiles and her eyes have taken a sad glean. Her shoulders appear to sag as if they have a great weight on them. She walks past him, stopping only to huff under her breath, some forced kind of laughter.

"I was never much for damseling. I never needed you to save me. Not then, and definitely not now."

	Kylo approaches the portrait of Leia and bites back irritation at this very un-like his Mother situation. He supposes running a lightsaber through it both won't help and might harm his mother, and he's done enough harm to his parents with lightsabers for at least ten lifetimes, so. 	In the frame, Leia slowly ages from the young girl when they destroyed the Death Star until the wake of Endor. Her belly grows slowly, and Leia smiles down at it. Though you can't hear it, she appears to be singing to her belly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He can't seem to get any sense of any of this, which means he's irritated and growing somewhat impatient. Well that sounded like his mother. Maybe this was her. Although he wasn't entirely certain what he was supposed to do. Run off with her? And she was too young for the Leia that was here, but maybe that wasn't a problem. Damn Faeries.

"I don't think I want anything to eat," he shook his head. "Thank you though." Fen might kill him if he ate anything. He looked back to the painting a half memory of his mother singing to him when he was really really young.
