Illyana didn't even get to make it home first before she got... uh, scathed.

She attempted to draw her Soulsword with the intent of striking the Abducted and their doubles from the spells. The fairies weren't having that, nope. That's against the ~rules~. Her Soulsword remained inside her.

As punishment for attempting to thwart them, she turned demonic and eventually fully into her Darkchilde form, which will remain for a time after she returns home.

Well. Storm did say she'd scatter fairies like bowling pins when this soul sword thing started so go big or go home I guess.

Although. She has not seen Darkchilde before so might flip a bit.

Also, not the Danger Room. There's cells in the basement to keep Illyana in that won't let her out. Except Kitty to be there as often as she can when she's not teaching -- assuming there's classes.

Kitty will immediately go big giant eyed when Illyana started turning demonic and then Darkchilde. If necessary, she'll make sure everyone else has it covered here and take her home.

Kitty is a good girlfriend ♥ It's probably best to get Illyana the hell out of there when she goes Darkchilde. She can manage herself demonic, but full-on Darkchilde is a nightmare.

That's what she'll do. She'll feel bad for having to leave, but like this was their plan so she's responsible. Also Illyana's her girlfriend so you know. Sorry Cable. :(

Liv found herself somewhere in the vicinity when Illyana turned completely into Darkchilde. The sight of the red demon triggered a memory in the brain of Col. Henry Mills. In true fashion, Liv swayed on her feet, staring into blank space as the vision took over:
A military base. It was early morning. Henry had just taken his morning bathroom brank, tucking a newspaper under his arm as he strode back to his office. Officers along the way saluted or steered clear of him.

Suddenly, the lights in the hallway turned red and a loud alarm sounded. Screams could be heard from down the corridor where Henry knew the portal room to be. "It's been dormant for so long!" he heard someone say, but snapped back, "Man your post, or I'll have you demoted to a doorstop in Sri Lanka."

"It's killing them!"

"Can you see it?"

"What is it? WHAT IS THAT?"

The emergency lights stayed on, but the power went out. Hills dropped his newspaper as something lunged toward him. Bathed in red, he couldn't make it out. His lieutenant was ripped apart in front of him, then his torso connected with Hill's knees before he could brace himself. It was on him before he could move, before any of them could. Bright eyes, red eyes, red skin, everything so red. It was the devil, the devil was here to collect, and Henry Hills knew he had a lot to pay for.
Liv slammed back into her own body, settling down on her heels with heavy gasps.

There was nothing to indicate what had killed him. It was all a blur even from the eyes of something who was there.

The Darkchilde turned when she heard the gasping. Her forked tongue peeked out between her sharp grinning teeth and her tail flicked behind her.

"Aww, feeling faint?"

"Illyana," came a familiar voice. Kitty Pryde, in her severe costume, strode up behind her demonic girlfriend. "You want a fight? Over here!"

Kitty tempted the use of her powers. They were working, at least for this. They hadn't been earlier. Glitching. It had happened numerous times before. Quick as she could, she ran as close to Darkchilde as she could within grasp of her mask. "Illyana, I'm going to get you out of here, okay? I'm sorry."

And then she reached up and yanked both of their masks off at the same time.
