[He sounds furious] What is making all that noise!?

[ 01 ]

The creatures at first are quiet as they come into the city. But as more and more of them flood the streets the louder and louder they get. And Homura is sleeping-- the door locked and barred, the windows closed-- inside the back room of a store across from the hospital. She quickly notices two things as she wakes up: the sound of the monsters and the fact that her surroundings have changed. Her first thought is that she walked to another store in her sleep, and her second thought is what on earth is that noise?

Homura approaches the window and peers outside. The moment she does that a lot of them seem to see the motion behind the curtains and so they start to approach. She's instantly awake and transformed; they come closer and closer and then one is trying to smash through the window. Homura backs up and pushes aside the dresser she'd put in front of the door. She moves away with the door shutting behind her just as there is the sound of shattering glass.

And out the front she goes. She has no rifle, the kind of gun she feels most comfortable with-- she's a small girl and the recoil is easier to handle-- but she has a handgun. A handgun and a limited amount of ammunition. Rushing through the changed store she presses her back against the wall and readies her weapon, firing carefully as the monster breaks down the store's door.

new arrival - open [action and/or audio]

[This is not exactly alien to Patience - waking up in new places certainly is not, and though she loathes it with a passion, having magic worked on her while she was insensate is also not an unfamiliar occurrence. That doesn't mean she's taking it any better, though you wouldn't know it from her demeanor; besides her soft mouth being screwed up into a pout, her temper shows in nothing more than the extreme, clipped precision of her movements as she walks down a street, treading carefully and sticking to the edges of buildings, hearing the noises of chaos dimly from not too far away.

She already tried to pull on the ambient power to aid in scaling a building for hopefully safer high ground; it failed miserably, and now mingled fury, fear and near-painful tension keep her hair prickling on the back of her neck and her vision almost ignored in favour of acute attuning to the currents of the world around her.

She can still feel, at least. Even if she can't use it.

Bringing the radio up to her mouth she keeps her voice low and modulated in case anything dangerous is in close proximity, but clear so as to hopefully minimize the distortion of the device itself.

Arriving and getting into trouble [Action]

Shion opened his eyes, the dream had been so strange, so vivid. The child figure, who had he been? Shion was a little shaken, because dreams were not something he often had, not one that felt that realistic and yet were so divorced from real life.

He blamed Rat and all the books he was making him read. Shion sat up to inform his friend of this and his mouth dropped. He was still dreaming? No surely he could not have this much rational thought in a dream.

There were noises all around him, and he thought he heard a gun shot in the distance. A gun shot? Where was he? Even though he had gotten used to the West Town this was not there. This was... somewhere else entirely.

More noises, getting closer. Shion soon found himself surrounded by three... well they looked like a fusion of feline and canine but that wasn't scientifically possible either. He stood very still hoping they would react in the ways dogs did. As they got closer he started to doubt that. Maybe he should try to run.
