Who: Everyone???
What: Jill's Sweet 16~
When: Set for Saturday night
Where: The Ballroom
Warnings: Anything can happen
Notes: This is open to everyone, literally. You can even say that Adrian probably compelled you if his compulsion would work on you.
There was nothing that Adrian wanted more than for Jill to have a birthday she wouldn't forget. Being here was shitty enough, Adrian knew that for sure, so he had to try and make it up to her. While the bond only went one way, he wasn't an idiot (most of the time), at least when it came to her. He knew that there were days she was miserable. She wanted friends. She wanted people to like her, to talk to and to hang out with her. She had made a few friends, which was good for her. She needed that interaction. Adrian felt he needed that interaction too. He felt too pent up in his apartment. Although his walls were covered with original paintings. All depending on his mood at the time. Many brights and many darks. It was hit or miss when it came to Adrian.
Tonight however, Adrian had one too many vodka's as he stood at the door. He drank to dull the effects of Spirit, which was his element. Powerful enough to bring people back from the dead. And it made him a little cuckoo, so he drank to not feel the crazy. Of course, right now, he was leaning against the door frame, complimenting the pretty, lovely people as they filed in.
Adrian wasn't above compulsion. Of course, he had used it. He wanted the part to be filled ... by anyone but her. Adrian made a face, but that quickly went away when Rose appeared. He crossed his arms over his chest. He hadn't spoken to her. He didn't know what to say and personally, he knew there was nothing to say at this point. She didn't even know why he was upset with her, or didn't bother her all the time like he had before. Before he would just slip in whenever he wanted, invading her space, getting her attention, but he didn't do that anymore.
"Hey," she said, giving him a quick, annoyed smile. Adrian noticed that Dimitri wasn't on her arm and he rolled his eyes. He was sure that the jerk didn't come, which was bullshit but what could Adrian do?
"They're all inside," Adrian told her sullenly and turned his back on her. Of course, all but Sydney and clearly Dimitri. But Sage was who he was waiting for, but instead of sticking around at the door, Adrian walked off, leaving Rose behind and he headed outside to light up a cigarette.
The music was loud, the drinks were flowing and people were having a good time. Adrian refused to let the sight of Rose ruin his night.
