Madeline is more familiar with hopscotch than Mohinder, and unfortunately hasn't connected those little chalk squares to his recent and mysterious tinyfication. So when she sees one, she glances around to see if anyone's watching her and hops onto a blue five. After all, it couldn't hurt to-

This is the Nexus, and it could always hurt to just try something, but five-year-old Madeline Yi has not learned this yet.

A very small little girl in pink leggings and a blue Ariel t-shirt stares at the Nexus like a startled rabbit with pigtails, backing away from the hopscotch courts, and hugs herself. This is not her backyard, she's pretty sure, and it's not actually anywhere she's ever been and that's just not good at all. She doesn't even have her new sneakers, just her green socks.

She's already starting to get scared, but she remembers what her mommy said about what to do if she got lost- don't move and keep an eye out for a Safe Person like a police officer.

She takes a deep breath, sits down, crosses her legs, and asks in a shaky, nervous voice, "Are you a policeman?"

Peter enters the nexus, a bit oblivious. He's probably just heading out to the store. Or entering a room to clean. Or.. something.

Entering a nexus is a bit different than what he is initially prepared for, and he widens his eyes, glancing around curiously. The surprise sets in completely (as well as total confusion) once he.. sees the sign.

"Ask.. a question." An eyebrow raises incredulously. "...Okay." Honestly, seeing a sign after most of what he's been through is relatively sane.

"Any tips on starting a new life?" He pauses, brushing a clump of hair (the rather stubborn one that always seems to get into his eyes) behind his ear. "Y'know, like.. good locations? Maybe even.. good names?" His smile reflects a bit more of a pensive expression.

"..and how to.. change who you used to be?"

"I overheard a rather odd discussion at the Ninkasi today and it got me thinking..." Rik pauses, "Is it really cannibalism if the people doing the eating are zombies? And would it be cannibalism to eat the zombies?"

Mohinder is not really familiar with the concept of hopscotch. As such, he's rather confused by the pink-and-blue chalk drawings on the Nexus floor, but not enough to avoid stepping on them on his way to the nearest portal back to Chennai. His foot lands squarely in the middle of a pink number 6.

And now he's even more confused, but mostly just because the Nexus is no place for a tiny kindergartener. Everything is considerably too big for him, and he's supposed to be in class right now, and what will Father say if he hears Mohinder wasn't in class? This is a Very Big Dilemma.

He shields his eyes and looks up at the sign. He has to tilt his head so far back to do it that he nearly falls over backwards.

The sign is large and friendly-looking, and strangely comforting in a way, and Mohinder always tends to have a lot of questions about everything. He ponders this very seriously.

"How bad does a person have to be to go to hell when they die?"

[OOC: This is the beginning of an LOL. The hopscotch courts aren't going anywhere, so if you too want a chance to play a tinypup, by all means, go ahead!]

Hey, it's another refugee from postapocalypse Wisconsin! It would seem that this version of everyone's favorite absentminded professor wasn't quite absentminded enough to forget his gun when walking through a vampire-infested neighborhood at night, which is why he is (a) not dead, and (b) still holding it out in front of him when he stumbles through the Maximoff-created wormhole into the Nexus.

Mohinder squints at the sudden bright light, and then at the sign, blinking uncomprehendingly for a few seconds.

"Where did all of you come from?" he asks, struck by just how many living, breathing people there are around here.

Adam, unlike so many veterans of the tiny, dead town in Wisconsin, has never visited the Nexus in his dreams. This is the first time he's seen it, once he picks himself up off the floor from where he's been unceremoniously flung out of thin air and looks warily around.

He doesn't see who he's looking for, and that makes him panic slightly, but he does see the sign, and what with the way his dreams back in Hell usually did work--maybe there's a catch, maybe this place won't reunite him with Wanda and the others until he follows the rules and asks a question.

He ought to be practical about it. Adam is rarely anything but practical.

"Is there, uh, anyone here who needs someone to work with computers? I can do repair work, data analysis...anything."

Watch this space.

Are you watching it? Good. Because now it has something in. A someone, to be specific, a small and rather surprised looking someone who appears out of nowhere...three feet from the floor. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to be able to fly, and hits the ground palms first with a sharp cry.

She collects herself and gets to her feet in a hurry, glancing wildly around the nexus with a look of near-panic. Her eyes settle on the sign, and Madeline blurts out the first thing she can think of:

"What's-" She glances behind her. "-what's your favorite color?"
