| Who: Clementine and Zania When: Late afternoon Where: Clementine’s house Warnings: None Clementine had had a nice day alone but she was hopeful that would change soon. Zania had gotten in touch with her regarding the ad she’d put out in the local paper and Clementine had been eager to meet her since they talked. She’d done some spinning, done some knitting, but after a while her attention went to cleaning the house and trying to make it presentable for Zania. She was eager to meet the girl in hopes that something would click and she’d have the empty room in her house filled. | Who: Satori and Nic When: Early evening (5pm) Where: Outside the orphanage Warnings: TBD Satori had not been able to help herself. It was her day off and still she’d visited the orphanage, intent on seeing her kids and making sure they didn’t feel abandoned. She was always so conscious of how they felt about the adults around them that she could never not see them at least once a day. Even if it was her day off. And the universe knew she needed a break right now. Things were beyond strange in her life and that didn’t even count the fact that she was living through a zombie apocalypse. | Who: Liam and Claire Where: the hospital When: Early evening Warnings: None Claire had managed to avoid the rain, after talking to Finn and returning home to drop off her things before heading off to the vegetable farm to help out. She spent a few hours then, working and getting dirty, letting her mind wander and doing her best to avoid thoughts that made her feel small and insignificant. As she was finishing up in the farm, she was carrying a basket of fresh vegetables to the building when she tripped over a patch of raised dirt. It wasn’t the first time she had fallen, or rolled her ankle or something clumsy and stupid. | Who: December, Mickey, Zania and Mannix Where: between Mickey’s and December’s houses When: night Warnings: language December had had another weird day, getting called in to deal with corpses from the riot, and other bullshit. She’d gotten another evening off afterwards, so she'd gotten up earlier than usual, set up the ancient charcoal grill in the back yard and went and bought beer and food to roll with. It was sort of both her and Mickey's, something they just shared and used whenever. She felt like relaxing tonight, having a beer or many, sitting outside on the blanket she had spread out there. She put kabobs on the grill after she got it going, and was just cracking a beer. She figured the smell of food would bring people coming in her direction. ( Read more... ) | ||||||||

| Who: Finn and Audrey Where: their house When: evening Warnings: n/a Finn felt better back at home, not mentioning the run in with Claire over dinner or after. By the time the sun had set he was sitting on the back porch of the house, looking out past it, idly playing with the pocket knife he carried. It was from before the dome, and his father’s. It had been a gift his father had given him when he finished bootcamp, the inscription on it saying ‘To protect and serve’ in honor of his father’s accomplishments. Finn had carried it since before his father had died. Now it was just a relic he held on to, flipping the blade in and out, looking for some sense of solace in his raging mind. | Who: Mickey and Zania Where: Mickey's House When: Night, right after this Warnings: None Mickey left Zania in the kitchen, making half a grunt as he headed towards the bathroom. He needed a good few minutes alone and the shower was probably his best bet for that. He didn’t need one really, but the next half hour, head against the wall as the water pounded down on him until it went cold, somewhat helped. It didn’t solve any problems, just brought him somewhat closer back to center. Of course he was miserable, insides twisting. Wrapping a towel around his waist he stood at the mirror for longer, watching his reflection and trying to sort just what the hell to do with himself. ( Read more... ) | ||||||||

DATE: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 WEATHER: Bright and sunny in the morning, with a light drizzle in the afternoon and a full on thunderstorm in the evening. Rare for the dome. Temperature ranges from 74-55°F. EVENTS: The doors are still shut, but that’s the least of anyone’s worries. Everyone who was bitten by a bat and reported to the hospital is dead and word has gotten out. People are panicked and afraid to go outdoors. Others have decided to hunt bats, attempting to shoot them out of the sky. Those who have been infected are requested to report to the hospital immediately for medical care! Three people have ‘spontaneously combusted’, according to witnesses, reporting that they caught fire while on their way to the hospital. Others say that they set themselves on fire. While there is disagreement to how these people came to be on fire, they most certainly burned to death. In addition, two more bodies have been found, both drained of blood. The coroner is going to be busy today. | ||||||||
