Back to base
The University still stands huge and imposing, it's halted building work torn apart to help with fortifications.
Inside there is a large open space, where can foods clothing and medical supplies stand stacked not far away from a huge noisy generator.
Upstairs sits an old media centre from which the broadcast flows.
Some precious electricity is given over to an old CD player, playing constantly in an attempt to drown out the noise.

	"Umm...hello..." Alex murmured, inclining his head slightly but otherwise appeared disinterested in meeting more people. 	DP maintained his place by the door, and simply nodded, once, his own eyes taking in the others silently. Snap stood at his side, head up and ears alert, but similarly silent, his eyes alive with curiosity. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	DP glanced down, then looked at the woman, jerking his chin up in a sort of 'reverse nod' as he answered, voice soft and deferential. "Dogs are omnivores. Snap'll eat anything you will -- and most you won't -- and still get plenty of nutrition from it." He flushed as they looked at him, head ducking again. "...He shares what I have." He hesitated a moment, then, finally, left his post by the door, Snap following silently a few steps behind. Shrugging his pack off his shoulder, DP unzipped the top of it, and pulled out a tennis ball. "...show me where to set up the fire and then keep Snap out of the bannocks until they're cooked?" He offered her the ball.

Snap's tail came up at the sight of the worn, green sphere, and he began to wag, front feet prancing in place with delight, his broad jaws gaping in a delighted grin. DP smiled at him, then glanced at the others. "...if you don't mind?"

	Alex instantly seemed to close off. His expression becoming void of emotion, his eyes becoming distant and his whole body going rigid. After a long uncomfortable silence he eventually spoke, his voice as emotionless as his expression and gaze firmly fixed on the far wall. "They didn't like my attitude."
