Who: Artie and Old Steve
Where: Steve’s apartment
What: Sheild work
When: Now
Rating: TBD
Open: To Stark Tower residents and Claudia

Artie had bundled up tight to go to Stark Tower. He’d done his research and knew who lived there, people that Claudia got over excited about. People that Artie knew where highly likely to underestimate a little, fat, hairy old man. Just the way he liked it. He moved indoors quickly, aiming to get out of the fog as soon as he could and knowing that the towers computer JARVIS knew he was on the way and was therefore far less likely to fry him.

Steve just nodded and sipped his coffee again. "If Erskine hadn't been killed, no one would no who I was. I would have been part of an army of super soldiers. Not just me." He cleared his throat. "And if Bucky hadn't gotten captured, I never would have broken from the stupid war bonds tour. That shield only exists because someone I care about died and someone else I care about was tortured."

"A lot of artifacts begin life that way. Some of them..." Artie replied. "...but in spite of its origins, this, dangerous yes, but not in the way most would think."

Steve furrowed his brow. "How is it dangerous?" He knew how it could be dangerous when used as a weapon but he wondered if there was some other way.

"Have you never heard, hope can save the world, but it can also be a very dangerous thing." Artie replied

Steve shook his head. "Not really, no." It could have been somewhere in the back of his mind and he just didn't remember.

"Good point." He nodded before sipping his coffee. "So, you're saying that my shield could cause damage beyond the obvious if put in the wrong hands." It wasn't a question.

"Absolutely, you've already spoken about your own consequences." Artie replied

He nodded again. "Guess it's a good thing I keep it put away." He wondered about what the damage would be but kept that to himself.
