Who? Robert & Tommy
Where? A random corridor on wheel 3
When? Tuesday
What? An oblivious new arrival
Warnings? None
Robert wasn't sure how much time had passed, he really wasn't keeping track anymore. All that mattered was that something (more) strange had happened, he'd lost Katherine, Peter was still missing, and when it had first happened he'd come face to face with lots of strange symbols on a wall.
He'd given up on the first lot fairly quickly, mentally storing them away for later as he went exploring a little. But then he'd found more, and then more, and he still had no idea where he was or how he had got there. Or how much time he had left to find the portal that seemed further out of reach than ever before.
By now, Robert was starting to panic, and because he was starting to panic his brain just wasn't working at full capacity. He was surrounded by scrunched up paper, now sitting cross-legged facing the wall scribbling, scoring out, muttering to himself. None of it made sense.
"No, no, no. THINK!" he yelled at himself, hitting the notebook against his forehead in a fit of frustration. He knew it was counter-productive. He knew that he needed to relax, breathe. He'd be better off lying down and meditating than trying to slap an answer out of himself, but logic was failing him.
