It had been a normal day for everyone. People were going about their own business, some on the station, some on Midgard, some in Asgard... you get my drift. But they would not be separated for long. Reunions that were never meant started to happen.

Shannon had parked herself as close to his desk as she could get, without making it obvious what she was there for. She could only wish unending support for the Father of her child. No matter what sticky situation he had found himself in. She loved him. There was no denying that. And not in the way a follower, or worshiper, loves the one she is guided by, but in the deep way that a woman loves a man.

The book she had lied about, though there were many many fascinating books in his collection, lay open in her lap, yet she was not really paying attention to it. Simply turning pages when it seemed the right time to do so. He had her complete attention, so she didn't miss anything that he gave away.

Gamora had loved this room since she'd been brought to the station, and she found her way there easily and quickly. The fact that both her adoptive parents were there only made her walk quicker. Soon enough, she knocked on the door and let herself in.

"Good afternoon, Loki. And Shannon," she said as she walked over towards where they sat, then stood at ease in front of them both. "How are you?"

Of course Loki was well aware that Shannon had no interest in the book. Though he would never admit it, he was grateful for the quiet company. A library where the only sound was the rustling of pages was the right medicine. But their calm did not last long. The young Gamora had indeed found her way into Loki's home. Even though she had told him she knew where it was a part of him had still doubted.

Could he have warned Shannon? Yes. But the thought had not occurred to the god who was to wrapped up in his own ideas and feelings.

"Ah, Shannon, this is Gamora," he stood up as she walked in. "She is my newest ally." He gestured to a couch next to where they were seated. "Please..."

Well this was quite surprising! And that was clearly written upon Shannon's face when the door opened. It wasn't who she had expected, though it was a little soon for Thor to return with the brother's mother. Though when Loki answered the unasked question her dots were connected. That must have been who he had been messaging.

Her charm and etiquette courses did not go to waste, the book was closed and set on her seat as she got up, and bowed. "It's a pleasure Gamora. Any ally of Loki's..." She trailed off. "Should I get refreshments?" No, she was not jealous in the slightest. She was curious though. How did the young woman know her name?

Gamora shook her head at the offer of a seat. She preferred to stand for the time being. "No thank you," she replied, stopping herself from adding 'father' at the very last second.

She couldn't help but smile when her mother offered to get refreshments, though. "Only if you want them for yourselves. I'm fine. But thank you for the offer."

"I'm guessing you have questions?"

I'm not from his world, where you obviously are, so I'm more than sure that I'm less notable than the God of Mischief." Besides she couldn't know that she could become a dragon, could she? Gamora's answering smile was not a pleasant one, and the pride she took in answering his question was more than evident in her stance. "Thanos has indeed met his end. A few times, now, and each time is as enjoyable as the first. The doors have been very helpful."

Shannon's question, however, brought geniune happiness to her face. "Oh, I wouldn't say that, Shannon." She'd grown so used to calling the woman 'Mother' that she almost slipped. Again. "I'm from the station's future. I was... liberated from Thanos's grasp just after my sixteenth birthday, and showed up on the station hours later. Apparently Amelia felt I needed new adoptive parents since the last one was sub-par, and that Kat required a younger sister."

A satisfied smile formed on Loki's face. Oh, he would take pleasure in doing it again and again. The anticipation was overwhelming... and quickly replaced by something else once Gamora continued to talk.

Kat required a younger sister... The god's mind started to navigate through the possibilities but he always ended with the same. He swallowed, glancing quickly towards Shannon. For once, he was at a loss for words.

It was hard not to find a little pleasure in knowing that the purple man died more than once. She hoped she was at least one of his causes of death. But the pleasure of that was short lived. As it was drown in the shock that, if she put that slightly cryptic answer together...

"I'm your...?" It was whispered, and she didn't want to be too presumptuous, her hand pressed against her heart. It was one regret that she tucked away, that she would never give this Loki another child that he could dote on as he had Kat. But it looked as if she didn't have too. The station did.

Gamora simply nodded, becoming serious as her parents stared at her. "Please don't think I'm making this up or trying to trick you," she said, before reaching up with both hands to seperate out one of the light chains she wore round her neck. Unclasping it, she shook her hair free of the ends of the chain and then pulled the pendant that hung from it out from its secure place under her leather top.

"You gave me this when I turned eighteen," she said, and tossed the pendant towards her father. The silver double-snake necklace was one of her most treasured possessions, and she rarely took it off.

Loki caught the pendant with a single hand and examined it. Why was he the one with all the daughters? Wasn't it Thor’s turn for once?

He turned it around in his fingers. Recognition struck immediately. "A mother and a daughter in one day - I seem to have won the jackpot." And he had stolen Thanos most treasured possession. What would he say now? He handed the pendant to Shannon for her inspection.

Shannon didn't need a pendant for her belief to be won. Gamora was here. She knew them. Loki believed her, that was enough. Still it was beautiful. She leaned forward to offer it to her newest daughter. "I don't think you're trying to trick us. I know how this place is. It is just a surprise. I do not think you would trick him easily." She might be a little more gullible but only a bit.

She made a presentation with her hands as she turned to the man beside her, in a tada, like manor. "A daughter with out the pains of labor. I like it."

"Thank you," she said softly as Sha- as her mother returned her pendant. She quickly put it back on, and returned it to its secure place. "I wouldn't even try to trick him," she added as she fixed her hair again.

Once everything was back in its correct place, she stood at ease once more, with her hands clasped behind her back while her mother spoke. "Believe me, the only pain was felt by Thanos. So, you see... we have a very strong alliance indeed. It works very well and I wouldn't want to change it in the slightest. Father."

Loki straightened his back. His right fist was curled up, his thumb kneading his fingers. "A strong alliance indeed," he echoed. Thoughts raced threw his head... should he make inquiries about the future? There was a need to know - curiosity to satisfy. But he abstained. His child - his other child had warned him of the dangers. "I am glad. Tell me, daughter, how old are you now?" He abstained mostly. Now, a bit of a slip should be forgiven.

That was a good question, how long and they been her parental figures? Especially since she was all but grown when they became her parents. She was clearly a Daddy's girl. Not that Shannon would deny Loki that. She hoped not to have the same awkwardness that she'd had with Kat at the start. Loki was much better at the role of Father to adults than she was Mother to them.

Shannon simply smiled as that seemed to crawl over her like an itchy shawl. Scraping one thumb nail over the other.

"I'm 26. You've been my parents for just over ten years now," she told them. Staying quiet for a moment, Gamora then glanced around the room before looking first at Loki and then at Shannon. "I understand that this is... this is a lot to take in. I don't expect instant acceptance - it took me months to finally accept it myself and you both had discussed it with me beforehand, and here I am, showing up unannounced thanks to the Station's whims and just telling you. But I couldn't be here and keep it a secret from you both. So now you know."

She smiled after that, and continued. "I intend to tell Kat who I am, but beyond that... I'll leave it up to you."

Now they knew... yes, that was indeed the case. But did he know what to do with it? No. He was a private man. It had taken time to let both his daughter and her mother close. Here was a girl now who might know him more intimately than anyone erlse.

He swallowed. "You can tell whoever you want," he judged. From all he had read about her she was a feisty one. A part of him wanted everyone to know that she wanted him as her father.

She wanted to ask how far it was from now that they would take her in, but Shannon held her tongue. She knew the whims of the 'island'. "I am hoping I won't be as awkward as I was when I first got brought back and met Katherine as an adult, but I can't promise some wont happen. Some take stuff like this on like an old hat, and I hope I'll be more like that, but this is the first time I've had a daughter come back in time and be here for it." She gave Gamora a small smile. "So if I'm weird, I'm sorry. But I already really like the idea that we've opened our lives to you." That they adopted. Together. She found she really liked that.
