Izzy was planted near the front of the crowd again. She was careful not to get in the way of the younger children, but she didn't want any adults blocking her view either. If she were to end up behind Uncle Jake or Aunt Neytiri, she'd never see the movie. Yuey and Trouble (the family dogs) were sitting with her on a blanket. The cats hadn't been interested in leaving the house. It was their loss. These movies were going to be awesome, and she turned to look at the person next to her, to say just that. "These movies are gonna be awesome!"
Abigail was near the snack table, adding some treats she'd made. She'd had Finn's help in bringing them over, now she simply wanted to make sure they were well displayed. Presentation had been well drilled into her by Papa, when he was still Papa to her. She smiled when she was satisfied and popped one of the bacon wrapped bites into her mouth. She glanced around while she chewed, looking to see where Finn was and to see if any of her friends were around. This would be a good chance for them to get used to hanging out with her now that she had a boyfriend. A boyfriend! The thought of it still made her smile.
Sookie wandered through the crowd, looking for a friendly face to sit next to. These particular movies would better if the person next to her was okay with her laughing or getting up for snacks during the movie. She did tend to super focus on certain movies, but tonight's were ones she'd seen before; it wasn't like she'd need to concentrate super hard to follow the plot or catch the nuances the umpteenth time around. She waved to someone and gestured to the empty space nearby. "Mind if I sit here?"
Sunila played with Willow as she waited for the movie to start, glad she could do this with her little sister. They'd been long overdue for family time. Island craziness seemed to always get in the way. She knew Willow would understand when she was older. Suni had always understood when her mother needed to defend the island or heal the wounded. It was a Jedi thing that made her proud. But for right now, Suni simply wanted to be the fun big sister. She'd make her little sister pancakes, teach her video games and watch movies with her.
Maggie stayed near the back of the crowd, hoping to see Will. She figured the night might be good for him. No one would expect conversation and there'd likely be no big emotions. She'd picked this night to ever so causally text him about it, not only because the movies were about dogs, but because there were no majorly sad moments. It wouldn't have been right to have him in a crowd of people when Mufasa died. Not that cartoon tragedy could compare to the horrors he must have seen at his job, but so many people would intensify it. 101 and Aristocrats should make for a much lighter night. They might have fun, she thought as she looked around.
