Maria's karaoke suggestion reminded me I was thinking we should do something social again. We've had more than thirty new people since the July 4th thing. Anyone else up for a rooftop BBQ on Friday afternoon?

It's a pity there aren't tv rooms or something for each floor. There's something to be said for random social encounters in shared spaces.

And just for fun... if you had to give a 20 minute speech or presentation with no time to prepare, what topic would you choose?

(Yes, I am bored, is it obvious?)

What else would you choose to talk about but the stuff you could recite in your sleep?

In my case, illegal drugs. Or prison. Hustlers. Being a superhero as a kid.

I can look into setting up a projector room. But maybe not for each floor yet.

I avoid public speaking. But I have had to give a few speeches on renewable energy.

A projector feels a little more like a planned movie thing, really. I wonder how much standard tvs cost these days. I only ever get the high end equipment for the image quality.

I'd need - bare minimum - an hour and a half and a PowerPoint presentation to begin to explain the rules of horror. But I think I could cover the core rules in twenty minutes with hand-outs.

BBQ sounds fun, though! What time were you thinking? I might have to duck out early cause I have to be at work at 4 on Fridays.
