Little bit of housekeeping. Hi, for newer people who haven't seen me around, I'm Sam Wilson.

1. Hannah Abbott and I are working on getting a medical centre set up on the ground floor, if anyone's worried about dealing with whoever the rest of the people on this island/mysterious pocket dimension/possibly a snow globe are for health needs. I'll let Hannah tell you about any specialisations she has because apart from a case study that got cut short several years ago on traditional herbalism in the Amazonian basin I know nothing about magic. I was a Special Forces Medical Sergeant in the Army until I retired and started collecting doctorates. These days I specialise in cybernetics and biotechnology, but I can handle more mundane things just fine too.

2. If you've got any pre-existing medical conditions, unusual biology, or anything else along those lines, feel free to let one of us know about it.** Or not. Your call.

3. Anyone not say hi on Tony's post? It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a basic headcount of who's here just in case. We have no idea what to expect from this place. Try to keep an eye on your roommates for the same reason. Even if everything's completely fine it'll help people not feel too isolated if they're turning up not knowing anyone.

4. People seems to be pretty on top of the food situation. Anyone want to see how the bars are?

added:
5. Any tv or movies you'd recommend for someone who's mostly been stuck with reruns and reality shows for the last decade?

[ooc: because I like to be fully extra at all times if you want to do this oocly you can! here!]

I can understand that. That happens to me a lot.

[Sam Wilson]

The Spider-Ham you mentioned, I'm guessing. Am I an anthropomorphic pig in another reality? It's one thing to know the math and another to S I can't I need That's definitely different.

I'm pretty lucky that I get a lot of freedom in what I work on, in between times I get pulled in for something important.

[Peter Parker]
The multiverse is weird and I try not to think about it too much. I'm not sure it's a huge coincidence that our biggest expert on it went insane.

It doesn't seem like lots of people get that luxury.

[Sam Wilson]

I can understand why someone would go insane.

It’s all about who you know.

[Peter Parker]
There’s limits to what people can handle. I met my late partner after she broadcast a warning about an intergalactic threat that a lot of people... couldn’t. Which in retrospect might have been when things started to really go wrong.

Anyway. Noticed any medically relevant changes since you got bitten?

That makes sense. And seems to be how my world works, too. Because, at this point, I assume

[Sam Wilson]

Focus, Peter. Focus on what you can handle right now.

Uh I heal pretty quickly but I haven't really thought about how that might translate to how I metabolize things. My senses are way too high (I don't know how to explain it better than a radio dial turned up to 11) and outside stimuli can be a struggle. I don't know what else I'm supposed to say. I had a building dropped on me and lived? I'm pretty durable.

That kind of stuff? I haven't really seen a doctor since before, you know.

The senses thing makes sense. You wear contacts or anything? I know they do lenses for glasses that have UV protection in them, could help if you’ve got any sensitivity to brightness.

I’m a little concerned about potential interactions with commonly administered emergency drug treatments.

I've found ways to get by. And my suit helps me focus when I really need it. Haven't thought much about UV protection besides sunglasses.

Oh? I mean, makes sense, but

Okay. Might be worth thinking about.

It would have radically altered your biology, that’s gonna affect how medication acts. Even if it’s just things you don’t need that other people would, there are some treatments that always have negative side effects, it’s just worse not to do them.
