...exactly how healthy are smoothies as meals? I discovered a place next to work and smoothies are way faster to eat. Gives me more time to play with my projects.

At least they taste better than the rations on Bracca.

Do I want to know why BD calls you Uncle Tony now?

They have a lot of sugar because fruit has a lot of natural sugar, but depending on what you put in them, you'll get your daily doses of the good stuff.

Chia seeds, kale, banana, yogurt, oats, and blueberries.

That sounds really good, actually.

Have you tried refrigerator oats yet?

It was good. The person behind the counter recommended it.

...no?

So what you do is get a mason jar, rolled oats (not the instant kind!), and the yogurt and milk of your choice--I use plain Greek yogurt and lactose-free 2%--then whatever toppings you want. You fill the jar about a third of the way with the oats, then add the yogurt and milk and put the lid on and shake it till it's all combined. Then you can mix in nuts and dried fruit and chia or whatever you like. I usually go with a bit of honey and dried cherries and some dark chocolate bits. Then you put them in the fridge overnight, and you have a jar of oatmeal in the morning. I eat mine cold, but I know some people who warm it up.

I am not even going to pretend I understood most of that, Abbie. I'll work on figuring it out though.

I normally just eat cereal and coffee for breakfast.

I will answer all of your questions. :D

This is like cereal but not as wet. Unless you use more milk than yogurt.

Thanks.

Good to know. I'll try anything once at this point.

We call those courtesy bites, 'cause you don't know you don't like something till you try it.

Then I guess that is what I am doing.

I promise not to suggest you try anything gross.
