Well, I didn't mentioned it before. But, I have a job. I've been made Assistant Manager of a rare book shop. Apparently owning one counted as enough experience.

Although, apparently they actually want to sell their books. Instead of only reluctantly. It's quite off-putting.

Why didn't you just miracle your own bookshop?

It just wouldn't be the same, dear boy. And, there a whole lot of logistics to think about, such as where to put it. It's easier to locate it where there is already a shop. And then I'd have to rebuild my collection. Which I can't miracle up, it's just not the same. They wouldn't be...authentic.

Oh.

What kind of stuff was in your collection?

I had a copy of almost every single book of prophecies ever written. It was a hobby of mine. And, also an awful lot of first editions, some of them even signed. I'd list them, but it is an extrememly long list.

Sounds like a museum. Maybe you could visit the Met?

Possibly a little bit. But they were mine, which made quite the difference.

Yeah, I get that. I wouldn't want to just trade out my shield or anything.

Honestly, I was always quite sad to see them go, if someone bought one.

Sounds like you should be a librarian, and not a seller of books.

Dear God no! People would return the books with the covers all bent and crease the pages, or heaven forbid, write on the bloody pages!

[...] There are librarians who take care of the like, old stuff.

But again, thpse wouldn't be mine. And other people would interfere. I was actually quite good at not selling any books I didn't want to.

How the hell did you make any money?

I didn't. I never really needed to.
