I'm really bad at fitting in with people. You guys are really good with people... so what can I do to be better at people?

I just feel like I get really weird and awkward with people and I talk to a few people my age but I just.... kinda feel like I'm on the outskirts of everything.

Peopling is tough. Like, sometimes even for people who seem good at it. The best advice I can give you is to let your freak flag fly. Everyone is weird in some way. Embrace who you are. Find people who like that about you and stick with them.

Aldo, try not to be too hard on yourself. Not everyone figures themselves out as a teenager. Hell, most people don't. You saw me as a teenager- I was confident af on the outside, but it was all a facade to keep from being bullied for being too loud, too obnoxious, too busty, too smart. I was bullied so bad in high school and I didnt want to be that way here. It took until college for me to really feel that confidence I faked.

You have a lot going for you, Ben. You're smart, you're caring, you're a good person. If you put yourself out there and let people see all those great things about you, they will come running.

	I'm weird and quiet though. Not like quirky and cool weird. It's not like I have a choice to not be a teenager! But high school isn't bad or anything. I'm alright, I guess. I just feel like no one really notices me I guess. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
