Who wants to go hunt down some nargles? Or what the muggles call zebras. Do they have them here? It's not a proper adventure unless I have someone to assist in the hunt!

It is a very elusive magical creature! Stories of their existence have been around for many many years, but no one has seen one. Well, no one can prove they seen them. You see, they're very tricky and visit when you're sleeping.

probably because they are asleep. you can't see when you are sleeping.

Exactly, but I have been searching for years and I still cannot see them. Even if I pretend to be sleeping.

There are zebras in the muggle zoo, I think.

I've heard of zoos! Do they not think they should be out in the wild? It's is better for them!

I don't know, I've never actually been to a muggle zoo, but I am sure the wild is much better.

Sure, Luna, I think going to the zoo would be brill.

Depends. Were you planning to go to the wedding? If yes- then I guess Sunday. If no- then tomorrow.

I hadn't decided if I was going. Aren't you supposed to go with someone to those things? Sunday works though.

You can go stag to a wedding, Luna, but it tends to be more fun with someone else. Sunday it is.

Why would I go dressed as a stag? I have nice dresses somewhere. Sunday sounds good.

You didn't answer my question... Is it because stags are a symbol of fertility and you would bring one to the wedding as a gift or a wish for the new couple? I mean I am not sure why people cannot talk about these things. It is just nature.

I think I will wear my silver dress.

I agree. I don't think animals should be in zoos. Free is always better.

I am Luna, what is your name?

Can I ask a tiny little question? What is a nargle?

I like the name!

It is a magical creature! They are kind of like what the Muggles jokingly call gremlins. They're mischevious little creatures. I have always pictured them as looking a lot like a pixie.

Zoos used to all be pretty terrible but these days they mostly take conservation really seriously. They have breeding programs to make sure the animals stay genetically viable and partner with organisations protecting remaining animal habitats, rescuing animals that have been sold in the black market, and sometimes run breed and release programs to rebuild wild populations. Their vets usually double as local wildlife rescue clinics as well. A lot of the time the animals in zoos wouldn't be able to survive in the wild, either because of injuries, being too used to humans (mostly the ones from the black market pet trade), or because their habitat was destroyed. They've improved a hell of a lot more than some other institutions.

As long as they're a good place for the animals! They need to be taken care of and extra care to make sure they're happy! Otherwise, we have no business in keeping them in zoos.
