I should have checked in with her more too. I should have made more of an effort with her, even before the maze. I just...

Honestly, I liked pretending she wasn't here so we wouldn't have to tell her about us. So we wouldn't have to hurt her that way, because I know she would be hurt. She cared so much about you when you two were together, there's no way she wouldn't have been hurt, even if it was only at first. So I'm kind of a selfish asshole. That's definitely something I need to work on.

I'm glad you don't regret sticking with me. I don't think I would have made it out of there on my own. Hell, Kruger almost got me in my dreams. If you hadn't been there...

I have a very great fondness for you too.

I get it. Obviously, I don't know exactly what you're feeling and I wouldn't pretend to, but I know what it's like to be worried that you're inadequate. To feel like nothing you do is good enough, no matter how hard you try.

Nothing you do could fail me, babe. Because all other things aside, I am your friend and I am and always will be 100% in your corner, come Hell or high water.

It's not. And I really wish I could say something that would make you feel better about the things you feel you've failed at. I really do. Coming to terms with your past is work you have to do, though.
