How do you get coffee stains out of carpet?

Asking for [...] the carpet. You know, the house grass.

One part dish soap, one part vinegar, two part hot water, use a cloth to sponge at the stain, let it dry, wipe it. Repeat until clean.

Repeat ? Ugh.

Depends on how sunk in the stain is, and how stubborn it is. But yeah, it'll lighten each time.

A challenge for my attention span, I see how it is.

God, my knees have got a lot of practice by now.

Alternatively...

You cut out the stained bit of carpet and replace it with an unstained bit from another area that is unseen. Like under a bed or in a closet, or under some furniture.

Quick fix.

I feel that the answer's 'not unless it's a K-Bar and I'm in the army again".

I personally wouldn't carve up the carpet with a K-bar.

It works for a lot of stuff. I just don't have it on me right now.

Either way, the answer's probably no.

Well, plants or chairs work too if you can't be bothered scrubbing then.

Wouldn't you constantly trip over it? That'd be a poor place for an urn.

Or a pile of ash.

Personally, I don’t care if he uses one as long as he stays away from my things and isn’t attempting to attack me. But if he’s getting out a box cutter, we might as well pull up all the carpet and redo the whole room.

It's an option, I mean, the carpets are kind of drab. Something softer and more floofy would be better.

Thinking on it, I don’t remember signing a contract or renters agreement about what is and isn’t acceptable or what needs landlord approval ahead of time. I may start with the kitchen...

Might as well. Make it more functional. Or serial killer And they all look the same, at least if you wander into someone else's kitchen you'll know.
