Hi, sweetheart. I meant to check in closer to last Friday, but time got away from me. How did you fare with the moon and the bad luck on the same night? Are you okay?

Someone is a few days closer to gray hair. What are we doing to celebrate?

[FILTER: Family + Groomsmen]
I think I’m going to ask Pepper to marry me again. We are already engaged in our time and I don’t want to waste any more time here. That said, maybe it is the marriage thing that is bad luck. I don’t want to lose her again.

[FILTER: DC + Marvel Heroes]
Are any of you retired in your time? Or plan on retiring in your time? My fiancée, when we were in our reality together, always wanted me to settle down and, honestly, that is all I wanted in the last few years I remember before coming here. Things were quiet for a while, but then a crazy purple alien and his cronies threatened the world so I got sucked back in. Things looked pretty bad from the point I come from although I know it works out for everyone else in the end. Anyway, I guess this is my question --- do you think you could ever retire? Do you think something bad could happen here and you could just not respond? Is that selfish? Or duty served? Is duty ever served when you have these capabilities? It feels selfish, but I want to have the life I missed a life with Pepper and the kids here.

We all know how retirement worked for me.

Like total shit?

Do you regret getting sucked back in knowing how it all works out?

Of the things I regret, that's not one of them.

But there's different kinds of getting involved, and no one says you need to fly out any time something comes to bite us in the ass. Least of all when there are kids that need someone here that can hold the fort. Y'know?

Yeah, me either.

You make sense intellectually speaking. I was talking to Cisco and he mentioned a real piece of work in his time. We've been fairly lucky here so far, but what if those types show up?

Then we deal with it.

There’s always going to be something, man. A maybe or a what if. You can’t put your life on hold on the off chance something might happen. You deserve more, Pepper deserves more.

You can suit up if the biggest bad happens. But the toaster uprising can probably be handled by someone else, right?

Toaster uprising. I swear to God if that is the next thing here, I'm blaming you.

I get you though. Thanks, dude. How is the nose?

A toaster uprising is fine, just turn on taps or attack with forks. Hell, Thor could fry them all with a sneeze.

Fine, just a little bruising now, but nothing I haven't had before. I need to get Nebula to stop treating me like I break though.

Well, to her, we are all breakable. I offered to create a suit that someone could use to spar with her.

Steve or Thor might stand a chance against her, but man. I thought Nat fought dirty. A suit or some kind of sparring dummy might do her good, and for the folks that can crush us puny humans.

Would I at least get to see Cap fall on his ass? It has to be worth a show.

It's definitely a possibility. She's damn good. But I guess, trained by Big Purple and Bastard, yeah she'd need to be.

Makes my dad look warm and fuzzy in comparison.

Oh yeah, on the scale of daddy issues I think she's got us all beat.
