In light of current events, many residents may find themselves struggling with an overwhelming sense of anxiety and dread. Distressing and traumatic memories may reemerge.

The spike in cortisol caused by this stress may also cause physical symptoms to develop such as flu-like symptoms, insomnia, or frequent headaches.

Please do not feel the need to “tough it out” for these or any other symptoms. Help is available, free of charge, and completely confidential.

I am a licensed psychiatrist and psychologist and I will be at Ostrich's Villa Health Center if anyone requires assistance in processing their experiences. Or if they would simply like someone to talk to.

Please do not hesitate to contact me privately if the location hinders you from receiving treatment.

- Jonathan Crane, M.D., PhD.

Psychiatrists are meant to respect the autonomy of the individual.

Cute. You'd be the first.

I’m very sorry to hear that. A doctor’s first responsibility should be to their patient; anything else is a breach of ethics.

And I'm not your patient yet. Fret not. Sit back with a cup of tea.
