Really? Of all the muffed up memories that thing could have shown me, it picks the most muffed up one of them all. That one time I had to dig a bullet out of Frank's keister.

I still really hate zip ties.

There's probably a layer of therapy needed for digging bullets out of butts while...zip tied?

Multiple layers of therapy probably. But to be fair, the zip ties came after the bullet extraction once I tried to bolt.

A reasonable reaction to butt surgery. Are you sure this isn't Stockholm syndrome?

I get why anyone might think that at first, but it's not. He didn't keep me like that for long. Frank is just -- he's hard to explain to people who don't know him and even to some people who do. He wanted to keep me from getting myself killed, and I was scared and didn't trust anyone.

Fair. If there are bullets. But I'll take it as you'd know better about things. You don't seem the type to make excuses for people.

I know he has all kinds of messed up issues that nobody in their right mind would touch with a ten foot pole, but he was the first person to give a crap about me in a long time. Nearly died a few times because of it too. But yeah. He's Frank.

I suppose... in a way, I could relate to that a little. Different dynamic, I hope, but I understand it mattering more when they care. Messed up or not.

Yeah. It's one of those things where I didn't realize how much it mattered until he was there, and I had it.

I can just hear him huffing and puffing at all of this mushiness about him.

Sometimes it takes something like that to remind us we need people. Even if it's just one person.

Just as well you're doing it where he can't see or hear then.
