Prompt/Summary: Severus had hoped for a quiet life, after the war was over. But thanks to a mislaid ruby, a peculiar old man and the irrepressible Harry Potter, it seems his plans might just have to change.
A/N: Well, my dear alisanne, I’ve loved your fics for ages so it was great fun to write this for you. I tried to get in as many as your requests as I could. You wanted ‘romantic comedy with lots of snark and banter, sarcastic Snape (generally hiding some insecurities), outdoor!sex, desperate I can't keep my hands off you/got to have you NOW!sex, partially dressed sex, flirtation. Specific cliches I like are: slightly clueless Harry (although I do like him to be an adult who knows he wants Snape), accidental/forced bonding (as long as they are both secretly in lust/love), time travel, first time (how they get together, UST), magic rituals.’ *dies* Did I manage any of them? You’ll just have to read it to find out *g* I didn’t use your first two optional plot suggestions, this is your third option, time travel. I sooo hope you enjoy it!

Wow, this was different and fun and altogether terrific! The time travel to Merlin's time, OMG, what could be more cool than that?! And it's just coincidence, right, that Merlin is the teeniest bit like Dumbledore, right down to the nosiness. I love Severus making him turn his back on them! Yayy for Snape's protectiveness.

But I also love how both Harry and Snape each take their turn being protective, and healing, and taking charge. That *rocks*! It makes their relationship so much more rich, and promising.

As well, I loved how you mixed humor and seriousness throughout. The emotional sense of who they were and where, and what they were going through, was very vivid and full as a result. The setting was amazingly clear - the forest, then Merlin's hut, and the ancient places - and there were so many brilliant details throughout! I really felt *in* this story.

I really almost hated for it to end, in fact - except that I so wanted to see the final scene. I fully expected it to be as dramatic and exciting as all the other high points that filled this fic ... and it was! The energy powering this story was one more aspect of its awesomeness. You wrote it, set it, plotted it out with an energy that did justice to all three of the powerful and energetic main characters. Kudos, and thank you for sharing this very fun story!

	Wow! Thank you for your lovely (and wonderfully long) comment. alisanne gave me such brilliant prompts to work with that I had great fun writing the fic. She wanted romantic comedy and mature Harry and time travel and lots of UST, all my favourite things really, so I got very lucky indeed.
