Prompt/Summary: Severus had hoped for a quiet life, after the war was over. But thanks to a mislaid ruby, a peculiar old man and the irrepressible Harry Potter, it seems his plans might just have to change.
A/N: Well, my dear alisanne, I’ve loved your fics for ages so it was great fun to write this for you. I tried to get in as many as your requests as I could. You wanted ‘romantic comedy with lots of snark and banter, sarcastic Snape (generally hiding some insecurities), outdoor!sex, desperate I can't keep my hands off you/got to have you NOW!sex, partially dressed sex, flirtation. Specific cliches I like are: slightly clueless Harry (although I do like him to be an adult who knows he wants Snape), accidental/forced bonding (as long as they are both secretly in lust/love), time travel, first time (how they get together, UST), magic rituals.’ *dies* Did I manage any of them? You’ll just have to read it to find out *g* I didn’t use your first two optional plot suggestions, this is your third option, time travel. I sooo hope you enjoy it!

	Such a good fic! It hit so many of my buttons. It was so atmospheric, too, very cinematic. gorgeous. You nailed the characters so well, and Harry was utterly believable. Merlin was fascinating, the way he morphed and was ambiguously good. You also managed so much tension in the final scene, the virgin sacrifice in the setting winter sun. Lovely. I enjoy reading/writing Harry as cheerful and sociable on the surface, but rather dark and broken underneath. I like that he openly admits to that in your fic, and that's why it really worked for me.

I believe you are one of the britpickers for the Snarry_A_Thon. Is it okay if I pick your brain pre-writing of my fic to get the scoop on a certain coastal area of England? Mostly I need physical descriptions, weather, etc. I have your email (from accioslash) already, if it's all right with you. kbaithx

	Yeah, me too. I don't think anyone could go though what Harry goes through without being somewhat damaged, but he doesn't know how to share or even that he should I think. Luckily Snape just fits that so well. No probs with the Britpicking, I'll be up for about another hour if you want to e-mail me.
