TIME UPDATE

January 27-May 31

NOTABLE EVENTS
Point Pleasant experiences an unprecedented time of quiet and peace. Sure, not everything is great for everyone, but overall, people are happy! The death and crime rates have decreased, allowing the PPPD time to focus on cold cases and unsolved crime. Even the weather cooperates... for the most part. Don't question it... just enjoy it while you can!

FEBRUARY

Sunday 4th
→ Super Bowl Sunday!
Wednesday 14th
→ Valentine's Day! The Overlook Country Club is hosting a Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance. The cost is $50 per person for members and $75 per person for the general public. Reservations required.
Thursday 22nd
→ A severe snowstorm with high winds shuts down Point Pleasant. There will be no school Thursday or Friday the 23rd. A snow emergency is enacted and by Saturday, Point Pleasant accumulates at least 14 inches of snow, making travel near impossible, at least until Sunday afternoon.

MARCH

Saturday 17th
→ St. Patrick's Day! Main Street is decked out in green, including green lights on storefronts and lampposts. The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will start at noon and the harbor and pier will be lined with various art, food, and music vendors until 9pm. A lot of restaurants have their own St. Patrick's Day specials going on. Drink responsibly, please!

→ Easter! The Point Pleasant Community Center will host an Easter Arts and Crafts Show for families of Point Pleasant from 10am to 3pm.
Tuesday 17th
→ A massive rain and windstorm knocks out the power for the majority of the town through the evening. It causes quite a bit of damage to some cars and houses and there are a lot of downed trees to haul away. The power kicks back on early Wednesday morning around 3am.
Sunday 29th
→ Full Moon

MAY

Throughout the Month
→ Some familiar faces thought to be lost begin to pop up around Point Pleasant this month. That's right! The "infected" who had gone missing in January are starting to mysteriously return. They all suffer from some bout of amnesia when they're initially found, but their memories will return, although not all at once. If they are taken to the hospital, their blood tests will show some abnormalities that cannot quite be explained.
Saturday 19th
→ Chamberlain High School's prom will be held at the Overlook Country Club. The theme is Masquerade Ball! Tickets will be on sale from May 1st to the 16th.
Monday 28th
→ Memorial Day! No School today.
→ A Memorial Day Parade will begin at noon through the streets of Point Pleasant and end on Main Street.
→ Point Pleasant Beach is officially "open" for summer swimming, complete with two lifeguards.

→ Senior exams will take place this week at Chamberlain High School. Last day of school for seniors will be Friday, May 25th with a graduation date of Saturday, June 2nd.
