Sunday, October 8:
Weather: A sunny, warm day without a cloud in the sky. 66°/58°
EVENTS→ A new Priest, Father Dean, has temporarily taken over the congregation at St. Dismas. There is no news as to what happened to Father O'Shea, other than he's taken an indefinite leave of absence.
→ Nothing has really changed in terms of the unfortunate Ouija board "problem" still plaguing a handful of teens. However, the suggestion of using salt around their beds at night has helped with their nightmares, and they seemed to be 'protected' by while they sleep. The nightmares remain, but the physical reminders of them in the morning stop. Still, it's becoming clear things are only going to escalate unless action is taken.

Weather: Partly cloudy, but the warm weather holds. 67°/43°

Tuesday, October 10:
Weather: What is this heat wave? It's amazing. A sunny day!; 74°/54°
EVENTS→ Oh my god... another quiet day in Point Pleasant. It's wonderful... right?
→ Well, it's a quiet day for
most. Our residents who have had some unfortunate encounters with their mirrors will be subjected to another round of unexplainable mood swings throughout the day from the moment they wake up until they are finally able to go to sleep. They may experience the highest of highs, or the lowest of lows, and there is no warning as to what may trigger them.
Wednesday, October 11:
Weather: The warm weather dips a bit, but the skies remain clear; 63°/44°
EVENTS→ Spooktacular! is having a sale, buy one get one half off in the store today through Saturday, October 14th!
Thursday, October 12:
Weather: Another sunny day, though the it's rather blustery, blowing a few leaves off the trees around town; 59°/36°
EVENTS→ Empty Orchestra is advertising Ladies Night, where all alcoholic beverages are half off.
→ Not that it's blatantly obvious, given the state of the house, but it seems like someone has vandalized the old Zinneman house on Ludlow Lane by spray painting strange, red symbols on the side of the house. Most residents chalk it up to bored teenagers who tend to visit the house more frequently during the month of October.
Friday, October 13:
Weather: A windy day, but that's really the only inconvenience; 58°/34°
EVENTS→ The Chamberlain Wolves are away tonight, playing the Marshwood Hawks in Sanford!
The Wolves come away with a win, but on the way home, one of the buses carrying the team, cheerleaders and a few coaches experiences a collision with a wayward tractor trailer. There are quite a few injuries and many are taken to Mercy Hospital for examinations.
→ The Point Pleasant Museum is known for its Point Pleasant Six Witches Tours throughout the year, but today marks the beginning of their
Haunted Witches Tours for tourists or locals. Take a nighttime stroll to Lyttle Hill, the cemetery where the six are buried, and other other notable spots relevant to Point Pleasant's dark history. Tours are at 7:30pm and 9:30pm (only those 18 years of age and older will be permitted for the later tour). Tours will last approximately 90 minutes.
Saturday, October 14:
Weather: Another spike in the temperatures, and partly sunny. People want to enjoy this kind of weather while they still can; 66°/53°
EVENTS→ It's Main Street Market Day! Several blocks of Main Street are closed to traffic and full of local vendors selling fresh produce, crafts and more. Come out and support Point Pleasant's small businesses.
→ Maybe it's a day late, but the Orion will be celebrating Friday the 13th by showing, you guessed it,
Friday the 13th tonight at 7pm and 10pm!
