Notes: I'm just in time!
I happened to remember that May.15 is Klaus's official birthday!

(I 'm not really someone swinging from joy to sorrow to worry about small detail
of characters' personal setting like astrology or blood type though....)

EDIT on 16.May: Aoike left a message on her blog for his birthday and fans' comments.

Yes, It is the Major's birthday (May.15.2008)

Thank you for many birthday message to the Major. He must be delighted with them.
It's been so long since I wrote my blog last time, because I've been working on writing a side story of "Alcázar," but I managed to write this to say a word of appreciation for your warm messages to him.
The Major is really a lucky guy that the readers keep his birthday in memory.
I actually do not know how old he is though.(laugh)

After finishing "Alcázar," new Eroica story is planned.
On personnel reshuffle in AKita publishing Co., Ltd., Mr.Y came back again to Princess magazine. I am going to work on new Eroica series with him.
I'm looking forward to working together with you, Mr.Y.

(The side story of "Alcázar" will be on the July+August issue of  Princess Gold magazine available in June.)

Happy birthday message )

Notes: So this month's edition of "Princess" came with an omake calender featuring art from some of their premier stories, including Eroica. Unfortunatly, I don't have a scanner and had to take a picture with my camera so I apologize for the glare and poor quality. This weekend I'll look into asking a friend of mine if she can scan it for me so that I can provide you with a better image.

Until then, consider this a sneak preview: Jan-Feb 2009 )

Hello, guys!

I would like to share the scans that may interest Eroica fans; sketches of the Major and Dorian with the author's commentaries.

The book the skcetches taken from is published long ago (in 1982) with color artworks, a whole story "Trafalger" and some of Aoike's sketchs.

There are big scans in the liked pages.
(these posts are under schlosseberbach-memeber locked)

1/3: The arcanum of the Major's body
2/3: The Major on a payday and Dorian with shorter hair
3/3: Tryian and period bad guys

I hope you enjoy it !

EDIT:sinse it doesn't work... I changed the access permission.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Notes: With the stories getting longer, it's going to take longer for me to go through them. I have reached the point where I stopped last year. Also, I am going to break them into parts so they don't get too unwieldy.

So, to tide you over until I finish "Alaskan Front," I give you this postcard that I found ages ago in my mother's collection.

Notes: As requested by [info]mprice, I've posted a comic strip I scanned yesterday. It's in Filipino so I had to translate the dialogue. Apologies for the crappy quality.

Panel 1:
Guy : Can we stop watching your yaoi anime? I can't handle male-male love anymore!

Panel 2:
Guy : Let's just watch Ultimate Fighting. It's pure action with none of the subtext!
Girl : Pfpht!

Panel 4:
Girl : Ooh. Mommy likes.
Guy : *facepalm*

Notes: Good mail day yesterday, with a BIG packet from Japan. :) I've added lots of stuff to my gallery this morning. A poster which I think was specially made for a YASA meeting, the images in the Z Cherish gallery, red set diary, the month images from the '85 and '87 calendar (with an extra large one of half-naked Klaus ...), Klaus New Year Card and '81 New Year Card. Most of them was already up, but only with one or two images. Do check it out though, if you want:
http://anne-li.slashcity.net/eroica/ind

I wonder if someone ca help me with these things, though: The first is a postcard from '81 and I'm just wondering what they are saying. Link to page with a large verison of the image. Klaus doesn't look too unfriendly and James seems worried ... The other one is from an ad I found in the Lala magazine with the Klaus New Year card. The ad was for the black and red set, but this thingie I haven't seen before and there seems to be only one, not two ... Link to page with a large verison of the image. Any guesses as to what it could be?

EDIT: Tranlsation assistance from maki_t and caithion.

Dorian: “Congratulations for getting older!!”
Klaus: “They say that idiots do not grow older.”
James: “The new year has only just begun, and the nasty battle has already started...”

Translation?

Notes: I bought this cute little calendar card from '83 a while ago. A nice image of the boys, available also as part of the box set prints, among others. I've alway wondered what's happening - I (and some others I've discussed it with) thinks they look like they are warding off journalists or something ... In this card, however, the boys are also talking. Klaus is saying "To the devil!!" in German, but Dorian replies in Japanese ... I'm kind of hoping Dorian's words might be a further clue, but what is he saying? Anyone?

Here's a link to a larger scan of this calendar:
http://anne-li.slashcity.net/eroica/1983calendarcard.html

EDIT: Translation from caithion. *grins* He's saying: "A! Focus da!" Or: "Ah! It's Focus!" Which could be a reference to Focus News.

Notes: Hi! My nom-de-guerre is queen_golgo_13. I have heard of From Eroica with Love awhile back from Aestheticism website. Unfortuantely, at the time, I couldn't obtain any From Eroica with Love mangas and even now, the Japanese version of the series is hard to get. Recently I purchased several volumes of the series published by CMX, and I must say that it was absolutely delightful! The plot may seem outlandish but its very satirical. Add some violence, the Major's infamous cantankerous outbursts, humor, Eroica's flamboyant behavior, James' exagerrating frugality, Agent G's crossdressing, and so forth.....you have a classic series for the ages.

Eberbach brochures

Notes: I totally forgot that some of the people over here might perhaps like to see these, too.

So, here are the high resolution scans [meaning: large, but not necessarily good images *lol*] of the two Eberbach brochures with Klaus. (I don't know if there are more than these two brochures, but these are the only ones I've got.)

The older (green) brochure:
outside: http://pics.livejournal.com/klausheinz/pic/00080933
inside: http://pics.livejournal.com/klausheinz/pic/00081940
These are only scans of a photocopy (!) since there was only one original of the brochures left.

The newer (green - blue - orange) brochure:
outside: http://pics.livejournal.com/klausheinz/pic/0007yf2d
inside: http://pics.livejournal.com/klausheinz/pic/0007za88
Since both of the brochures are larger than DinA 4 (which is the size of my scanner) I had to do two scans of each side and combine them in Photoshop. You can see that very clearly at the "inside" scan from the newer brochure. I'm just not very good with Photoshop, sorry! :(

[And for the people who are interested in firefly1311's and my trip to Eberbach and the surrounding area: Here are lots of photos! :D http://pics.livejournal.com/klausheinz/]</p>

Notes: I've had this great Rage t-shirt since highschool. It's become a sleep shirt now, and I was standing in the front of the mirror, combing my hair, when it suddenly occured to me how very Klausian this tee is. It combines two of the Major's favorite things:
