Amazing Spider-Man #605

This is from Amazing Spider-Man #605, by Fred Van Lente and Javier Pulido. The cover is by Mike Mayhew.

The story takes place six weeks ago (ie, before MJ returned in #600). We see a flashback to MJ having an argument with Peter.

Meanwhile, MJ's celebrity boyfriend Bobby Carr is taking MGH so he can get the role of Captain America in a new movie.  The DEA is after him because they want his dealer, who turns out to be the White Rabbit.

MJ knocks out one of the White Rabbit's minions and takes her outfit.

MJ manages to subdue the Rabbit with a cream machine from the set, and the police arrive. Afterwards she gets into an argument with Bobby about his MGH usage and dumps him, and takes up an offer she received earlier to host the "Sewn Up" reality show in New York.

"Which reminds me of a fanfic I was one toying with for Supernatural, with the brothers investigating the disappearance of children, and discover the source is an old wardrobe... that was once owned by C.S. Lewis as a child. The current owner is selling children to the other side in exchange for wealth/protection/something."

Of course, if you tried that, Aslan would be *pissed*.

I once heard a story that Lewis himself was a bit upset over the send-off he gave Susan, so in another of his books, there was a character fans believe was an adult version of Susan, and things didn't end that badly for her all up.

Well, in the premise of the fanfic (and I never got much farther than noodling with the idea so I can't really recall which I chose), Aslan was either a creation of CS Lewis to help deal with his fears about the other side, or was himself an evil entity on the other side misinterpretted by Lewis (perhaps being superficially nice in the hopes Lewis would lure children back). It _was_ for the Supernaturalverse, they even had a dark Santa! ;)
