Robin's Oath

[info]sun_soraya Requested Dick's Oath scene a while back, and I posted it in comments but wanted to give it its own post, too. I think it deserves it. Also, I was just rereading some other great stuff in "Untold Legends of the Batman"--really like that story! And it's related.

The Original Version, from Detective #48, 1940--Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson

From Untold Legends of the Batman #2--Story by Len Wein, Art by Jim Aparo

The fact he didn't realise he screwed up when he basically kidnapped the kid (killing people in the process), who was still wearing the outfit covered with bits of his dead parents brains and essentially imprisoned him in the cold dark Batcave, does not bode well for little Dickie's future.

I'm so very glad All-Star Batman and Robin is not in canon.

Well, if you read DK2, you know how Dick's future turns out in Miller's Bat canon.
