	I actually forgot one: It's somewhat related to 2), I suppose, but Maggin also revealed that the Green Lantern power ring originally chose Superman over Hal Jordan to be the GL for Space Sector 2814. 	So I'm guessing Maggin, like everyone else at DC for a long time, conveniently forgot about Guy Gardner, who only missed out on the ring first time around because Hal was closer. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Those are *real* comic plot ideas that actually got published?! *is horrified* Your related mention of Superman as a potential GL candidate at least sounds less crack-tastic than the rest. I mean, choosing him first and then changing its mind seems incredibly dumb and all, but you'd imagine that there would be more than one individual considered, particularly as there have since been more Green Lanterns.
