Alfred laughs because he is unaccustomed to pacifying a neurotic batman.

... okay, that's actually pretty good. I'm still way too pissed with DC over BftC to buy any more Batman until they fix what they did to Jason (and then added insult to injury by making Tony frickin' Daniel the new Batman writer- I mean, what?), but it's nice to know that they can still have a decent issue every now and again.

The new costume thing is an interesting issue- I'd never even thought about it, but it would be a problem, wouldn't it?

Here's a funny thought, what if we all bought Winick's Batman then dropped the book like a rock when Daniel takes over to send a message to DC? Could we move in te kind of numbers to make that happen? I mean, Batman was one of the Batbooks I couldn't give a damn about, but this actually looks a lot better than I was expecting.

... that's a thought. I've been looking for a way to contact DC and bitch about the title change, but buying and dropping the books like that- I'm game.

The only thing that'd make it weird is now I'll be buying nearly every Batbook, which makes me feel even guiltier about neglecting the Superbooks.

Heh. It's funny, because I actually came into DC comics because of Superman, but then Batman won me over. Now that BftC has occured, I've switched back over almost entirely to Superman, though I also get Booster Gold.

Aside from Superman/Batman, I can't think of a Superbook I've purchased since I was a kid and Reign of the Supermen was going on (though i did get the All-Star Supes reprint today and will prolly grab the trade as soon as i can afford it), though with Greg Rucka being one of my favorite people in comics, I feel like I really should be reading Action Comics and World of New Krypton.

Heh. I've been liking it okay so far, but tastes may vary. I'd recommend you pick up an issue of it and see how you like it.

And Giffen writing Booster Gold full-time now, isn't he? That's definitely something that'd draw me to the book.

Um- I think so. I tend not to pay too much attention to writers, unless they do something to catch my attention. I'm liking it, though; it's worth picking up.

Jurgens is currently writing Booster. Is Giffen supposed to be taking over?

Giffen did that fill in...maybe that's what people are thinking of? I'm confused.

I have no idea. I could count all the writers whose names I know on one hand, so it's quite possible that I'm mistaken.

Griffen only did issue 20 when Jurgens did Brave and the Bold to help promote Griffens' new Magog book. Solicits got confused but Jurgens is writing not Griffin. And I honestly though 20 was one of the weaker issues.

On the other hand, Winick wrote this issue, and he is pretty much the only writer who can write a very enjoyable Jason. So I'd buy this just to support him and say "screw you!" to Daniel.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll do that myself.
