Astro City
Hi. I'm another person who has signed up to IJ just for this comm, after the LJ verson was taken out back and delt with. That made me sad. I would never have started buying comics if it weren't for scans_daily; I would never have even cared about their existence. In fact, the comics I have bought are entirely ones I have previewed on that comm (my collection consists mainly of Alan Moore and Warren Ellis).

So, anyway.

Here's a little story about a man who likes to watch superheroes.

Crackerjack yells out "Oh no--! My record collection!" as the building collapses, then runs off.

Steel Devil shoots at Crackerjack while he's on a ledge directly above the devil, and is
knocked out by the falling masonry. I suspect he's not all that bright, even before the head injury.

...Which all leads into the secondary plot line of the second Astro City PTB, Confessions.

These scans taken from the first Astro City PTB, Life in the Big City, which also contains 2 Samaritan stories, one about a newspaper reporter, what happens when you discover a superhero's identity, and one about talismans and protection. It's all rather good.

Heh, I remember reading this ages ago. I stumbled on the trade in my library and fell in love.
