Green Lantern #41: Agent Orange Part 3
4 pages from GL #41.

Fatality saves John:

So does this mean Sinestro was in love with Abin?:

"Love will die"

Hal makes a deal with Larfleeze:

Larfleeze's backstory is basically billions of years he was a member of a group of five thieves who pulled a heist on Maltus, among the valuables they stole was map written by Krona which led to the Orange Lantern on Okarra. Once they reached the Lantern they started fighting and the Guardians showed up looking for a box they'd also stolen. To make a short story shorter, he killed his friends and agreed to a deal: he get's the Lantern and the Vega System, the Guardians get the box (which contained Parallax pre-CPB) and him staying put.

After story time Hal loses his hand:

haven't read it yet. But it doesn't surprise me that it didn't just automatically backfire on him. Greed has some connection to hope. I think it'd be cool if it separates those he absorbed from him by freeing their hopes.

i wonder how old hal is gonna get his hand back
my guesses: A. he's able to reattach it via surgery
B. he get's a sweet robot hand
C. he uses his ring to make a hand

Just to nitpick, you can re-attach limbs if you get to them fairly quickly.

Although it would be funny if Larfleeze ate his hand...

Kinda disappointed that the blue ring accepted Larfleeze so quickly. I mean, they made a big deal about the thing's difficulty with Hal.

Yeahhh... see, I kinda figured that Love would be slaughtered, considering that this IS the DC universe and it's been awhile since a large group of women were utterly defeated/humiliated/killed...

Honestly, has there been at least ONE male member of the Love Lanterns yet? One? ONE?!

So, are they ever going to get to the question of just who created all these sentient energies?

I vote Krona.

It's kind of demeaning to Fatality to have her reduced to some brainwashed "me so horny" bimbo. I thought she was a decent enough addition to the GL mythos before, but of course, anything created during the "evil evil Kyle era" must be bad, right?

She'll most likely die in the crossover too. Probably saving John's life.

Meh.

Okay, so, in general, am I the only one a little confused by what Johns is attempting to establish in the relationship between the various coloured rings and their owners?

I understand that Willpower is capable of being harnessed and used, as is compassion, meaning that the users essentially control the ring, but Johns spoke about the further away the ring colour gets from the center of the spectrum, the harder the ring is to control, and the more likely it is to control you. Rage makes sense, because people traditionally lose themselves to that uncontrollably. But love? Love's hardly incredibly overpowering, at least not in the same sense as rage, and I can't understand exactly how these rings control their users. Fear, on the other hand, can absolutely control a person, so, by rights, shouldn't those rings control their users, really?

Ring Around...

Okay... I'm following the storyline, just because I'm curious...

But...
Seven colors in the spectrum, seven members of the Endless. Neil Gaiman, in "Heart of a Star", references both Superman and Green Lantern. Desire = Love = Violet. What do the other Endless equal? If Death = Black, then which ring is left over?

We've already seen ring evolutions (Sinestro, green > yellow, whatsherface, yellow > violet) and Hal wore green and blue at the same time. So, what happens when all seven are combined? Will we see WHITE LANTERNS? Or will that be more of a MOOD RING?
