Even ignoring all the creepy going on in that Marvel cover (am I the only one thinking it looks like imminent gang-rape? Maybe it's just the artist's prior world tinting my vision), WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH SENTRY'S FACE?!

The Mighty Avengers cover's painting, I do like that. And the Initiative one is cute! AND, an artist who drew Tigra and actually chose to cover her cleavage--

Matteo De Longis, not only do you draw actual expressions but you are an antiperv. THANK YOU have a cookie!

I don't remember who said this, but someone said that in 2009 we would learn what MJ whispered to Mephisto in ONE MORE DAY. Maybe this three part story would reveal what she said... but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm really enjoying the foreshadowing on the Thunderbolts cover, the bit of green shading on the left of Osborn and the faint green wisps.

I'm not *crazy* about the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #601 cover, but for some reason the notion of a freckly Mary Jane amuses me. Has she *ever* been drawn with freckles?

MJ is a gorgeous Varga Girl in that second Spider-Man cover.

She has this 1970s attitude done in a 1940s style, which is pitch-perfect, considering the cultural obsession with the 30s-40s at the time. More importantly, it looks great. The lettering, the webbing, the Vespa . . .

Well played, Adi Granov. Well played.

Quick Comments.
Spiderman 601 - When did Lindsay Lohan die her hair red?
Spiderman 602 - I actually like the look of MJ's face, kind of girl next door.
Thunderbolts - Is it just me or does Nick Fury come off a bit as an old battered clive owen?
MS Marvel - I blame Quesada.
Initive - Looks interesting, almost like marvel adventures.
Mighty Avengers - I'm glad the Young Avengers are still kicking around. Still never going to be a fan of Wanda though. Deus Ex Machina Characters bore me.

I agree with the above that he Ms marvel cover looks like a gang rape waiting to happen. It's skeevy and just plain EW on so many levels it could be sed to build a new Stark Tower.
I do have to admit I am digging the Thunderbolts cover for some reason - oh wait, I find Nick Fury inappropriately hot. Yeah, I may be skeevy too.
