If you see the Catwoman on the road...
After the Harley posts, here's one of the other leads of Gotham City Sirens.
After Harley started hanging with Holly Robinson, Selina's protege, some suggested that Holly would keep Harley on the straight and narrow path. I'll avoid any obvious jokes about the likelihood of Holly intending to keep any attractive woman straight, or Harley being at all straight with red haired women... Oops, too late... But any association with Holly means one will be associated with Selina. And Selina Kyle is... Well...
Selina has confused the fandom for years, due to being the Love of Batman's Life. Since he loves her, and she does sometimes fight bad guys, she must be a superheroine, right?
Actually, she's an irredeemable, unrepentant, and very naughty girl.
Here's Selina and Holly out on the road...
From Catwoman Vol. 2, #20
So, if you're wanting to keep a newly reformed former pathological criminal from doing what she gets a thrill from, crime, Selina's not the person to have influencing her, as she embodies that pathology. :) Rather than keeping Harley away from the criminal life, Selina would pull her back into it, which she did in Detective Comics #850.
That's what makes the Bruce/Selina romance so good, that he has his crusade, this thing he's dedicated his entire life to, and the Yin to his Yang, the woman he can't resist, represents what he's fighting against.
But, she does have her own set of values, her own code of conduct, her morals, and she acts on them. It's just a different set of values and morals than most of us have, what makes her not a superheroine, or a villainess, but an antiheroine.
Harley hasn't really shifted from villainess to superheroine over the last couple of years, but into antiheroine territory, which is really something she's been leaning towards for years now, anyway. She's just always been too loveable to be a full scale Evil Villain. Harley's Marvel counterpart would probably be Deadpool, who was supposed to be a full scale villain when he was introduced.
Now Ivy, the third lead of Gotham City Sirens, has been a full scale villainess, lately. I'm curious to see how Dini's going to put this group together.
