Because it *is* their highest selling book?

Basically, Batman will sell if written by a pair of chimps. Better put the good writers to work on more obscure titles where people might be tempted to go there for the writer's sake.

Yeah, but then the sales will just stay that way but if they get a really good writer, like Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka or Peter Tomasi, then the sales will be even higher. Why do you think the GL book's sales have stayed consistently high since Rebirth?
