John Waters is a Batman villain now.

That's the cover for Batman & Robin #6 featuring the debut of a new Gotham crime lord named the Flamingo.

Didn't he? I had to look up Damian a little while ago and I'm pretty sure he did.

And as for Carrie Kelly, I think we can all agree she was one of the best parts of DKR? ASBAR may suck, and DKR has plenty of stuff to cringe at, but Miller did have his moments.

Damian is basically Ibn al Xu'ffasch from the Son of the Demon story arc, which was considered non-canon. All Morrison did was change his name and make him canon.

Eh, I dunno. Same origin, different character.

Ibn al Xu'ffasch (at least in the Kingdom Come series) was simply Talia's heir, which negated much of the sue-ishness of Damian being Bruce's long lost son with his name that looks just like him and is fully trained by the assassin's guild and is Robin and is good with machines and Alfred thinks he's going to be brilliant and amazing someday, just like Bruce.
