... that, in no way, makes the least kind of sense.

Like, even if it doesn't work on him, it makes no sense. If it does work on him, it makes negative sense.

Ah. Okay. Magic, then, and not an inherent mutation. That works marginally better.

Of course he should still cease to heal and bleed nonstop from the wound for hours every time he pops the bonded claw, since the adamantium sheaths obviously don't extend all the way through his skin, and the act of extending them is equivalent to slicing himself with the blade.
