So I assume Bruce is lying? Or I hope so, anyway.

About killing his Dad? Nope.

Peter David actually wrote the story, a long time back. When he recovered the memory, Hulk (and it was just Hulk, no Banner) had some trouble dealing with it. But time heals all wounds, and his Dad really did need killing.

I once e-mailed Peter David about the fate of Brian Banner, wondering if he went to prison or mental asylum for killing his wife or not. The original Bill Mantlo story said Brian got convicted, while a PAD story said Kid!Bruce was unable to testify as to what he saw. PAD responded he would cover it.

INCREDIBLE HULK #-1 revealed that Brain Banner had (foolishly) bragged to someone about intimidating Bruce not to testify. He was dragged off by the men in white coats shouting it was all Bruce's fault.
