Gotham/Lantern/Six solicits out.
MANHUNTER BACKUP. My glee, it's uncontainable. WAIT. A dead friend? Damn it, they better not be talking about Dylan. Or Damon. Or Cameron. Or Mark.

There's lots of other good news, such as:

- Artemis appearing in SS #10
- Babs will save the day in Confidential.
- Renee is a backup in 'Tec

Legality, have this gorgeous cover by Daniel LuVisi

Confidential is a flashback title, so young!Babs is to be expected.

Kriesberg is the guy who's currently managing to do a worse Green Arrow/Black Canary than Judd Winick. On a certain level, that's very impressive. It's like being a worse artist than Liefeld or having worse fashion sense than Alan Scott. I wouldn't hold out hope that he writes anything but trash in the Batverse either.

And yeah, that's a cap from your scans. ^.^ And you'll note that I did say a story with Damien and Talia. That implies a certain era and a certain level of quality in writing females (ie none).

Young!Babs as canon is not a personal favorite, however, because I hate the retcon of Babs into another one of Batman's brood of children/kids that gets to be good cop/bad copped and patronized by Batman and Robin, as in Batgirl Year One versus adult woman who took up crimefighting. All supposedly because Miller forgot her in Batman Year One, but I think he just didn't want to have an older child in the story he wanted to write about the Gordons problems.

I agree that a story with Damien and Talia is quite a different thing. I still say you can't compare a generic Batman story to a specific Wonder Woman story, but very importantly, I haven't found a whole whole Damien and Talia and Batman story I've been able to read to the end yet. Talia and Batman, circa Bronze Age, yes. Some are great! But in recent times, until I run across said story, and I may not, I have to agree about a certain level of quality in writing women in certain Batman stories, certainly:) As I can't stand to read to the end. And Batman doesn't usually come off like anybody I want to continue reading when he's a misogynist. Which, as we've discussed, is a fair amount of time during certain more recent eras. Sadly.
