It's true, that there are things we can't do. Then, and now too . . . we're not storm riders with powerful A-T, or people who can use magic, or swords, or turn into really big dogs. Like the birds in that memory . . . like that baby chick, there's not much we can do to save ourselves.

But even with flightless wings . . . we can still sing. And the things we truly want to say . . . if we can voice them, they'll reach someone. I'm sure of it.

. . . after all, Carly's songs reached Orion a long time ago. Even through games like this . . . it has a really good sound, doesn't it? Your team.

You are. Our teams are too small, and the weight too much . . . if one person tries to take everything themselves, they'll break. Losing even one piece, here . . . it's crippling. You can hear it, in the older teams. The ones who have lost people over and over, the ones where the pieces don't fit, or can't move together like they should.

Carly is a very important piece of Orion. Just like Orion is very important to you. It's because you're together than you can all move forward. And here, more than anywhere . . . I don't think it's safe, to stop and look back.

	I don't think we can stop the judges, or the games. But . . . for yourself . . . . . . rest. And take the time you need. One sure step . . . it's better than a dozen quick ones, if all you end up doing is falling at the end. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
