[Braving leeches, lizards, and unknown horrors of the ~~deep~~ shallows, a Pavo is knee-deep in the river, salvaging what's left of their bridge. A yellow flower (that has definitely seen better days) is still tucked into the front pocket of her overalls.]

Ahh, it really is completely broken . . . can we even make rope like this?

There's a lot.

You try hard for the things you believe in, and you know things I don't. Even when we haven't agreed, you've always listened. You're fun to work with, and really fun to play against, when the games aren't about life and death. You always try and see the good things, even when there's a lot of bad.

Mmm . . .

Lots of things. Like . . . no one really makes swords by hand anymore, where I come from. Or uses them. So we never really would have spent time in the forge, or talked like that . . . even if you were a storm rider too, we probably . . . never would have met for long, if . . . really at all. Even now, I don't talk much with Adachi-san, or even Nakayama-san . . . my memories . . . they really are all about Ikki-kun. Almost all.

And I don't . . . even know how I fit there, anymore. So even if . . . it's really selfish. I like you as the you you are.
