[Braving leeches, lizards, and unknown horrors of the ~~deep~~ shallows, a Pavo is knee-deep in the river, salvaging what's left of their bridge. A yellow flower (that has definitely seen better days) is still tucked into the front pocket of her overalls.]

Ahh, it really is completely broken . . . can we even make rope like this?

Claude is even worse at trying to smile when things hurt than Red is.

. . . scars aren't . . . always bad things, for storm riders. Roads are made from the 'wounds' A-T cut into sidewalks and buildings and trees, put there by trick after trick until there's so many they cut their own path. Agito's A-T even leave his Road over the people he fights with; that's why it's the 'Bloody Road'.

Caring about Ikki-kun hurts you. And leaving . . . that's going to hurt even more, maybe in a way that always will. But . . .

If Claude is really able to accept that, I'll accept responsibility for leaving those marks there.
