Of course. Norms themselves are socially expressed by individually apprehended and modified to suit one's own perception of the world around them and their part in it. It only stands to reason that basic assumptions such as what constitutes normal are not indeed very basic at all but instead quite complicated and mutable not only between individuals but also intellectually and emotionally stratified within a single person's comprehensive worldview.
