[It doesn't really happen all at once, or to every dorm at the same time. But over these two days, you might spy a tiny spider slipping under the door. It is soon followed by several others, skittering along the floor, up the common room table and small cocoons of webbing are industriously opened. Almost as quickly and efficiently they scatter, vanishing.

If you missed this event... then perhaps you simply looked over and saw six small memory berries and the traces of webbing around them, fine threads catching the torchlight.]

As you swallow the memory berry, you feel something in your stomach clench and your mind seems to fray at the edges for a split second as you experience the memory unfolding in your consciousness.

You push the lush vegetation aside, marveling at the suddenly cool, insect free air. Your journey through the jungle hasn't had much of danger as it had in annoyance, the buzzing of countless, bloodthirsty vez vying for any exposed skin it could find.

But now... Through the dense foliage... you see an ethereal silver light high in the sky, creating almost a false dawn casting rays through huge leaves and painting everything around you black and white. Entranced, you shuffle forward...

As you return, the memory settles, interlaced with the rest of your recovered life, as if that was just another part of the world and people you left behind. It's hard to shake any of the conviction that it was real and it had happened to you, any more than you would a normal memory.

[There is the gentle sound of a shuttle moving through taut thread, and as the memory settles deep, your eyes open to the familiar garments of your kin on both yourself and those around you, dyed proud and bright.

Tops of plain-woven panna, sleeveless and scoop-necked. Twill-woven, pants of the same, held by a sturdy corded roan belt. Loose on the leg, they'd stand against all but the sharpest of punctures, and their deep pockets (both at the hip and stitched pouch-like on the sides) could hide all manner of trinkets from the eye. Always shorter on on the ladyfolk then the boys; ladies' boots were higher, after all, cobbled of sturdy lizard hide and buckled 'round their calves. Men favoured a shorter style of the same heavy make, buckling once around the ankle and stopping just above.

Socks were always good, practical things, able to stand up to near anything (up to being used in the odd mix of [Soldier's] tribute). And for the cool plains nights, or the times when the winds blow sharp, jackets of well-worn marwok suede, soft and sturdy, sleeves cut high on the arms of the ladyfolk, and down to the wrists of the men.]
