Game 89
Who: Everyone!
Where: Arena
When: Day 132, evening
What: Game time!

[The Call to the Arena today is the simple sound of hammer on metal. Rhythmic, tireless it's almost a marching tune to those who happened to hear and follow it.

When you enter the Arena bare land quickly gives way to drifts of snow and barren, snow-striped trees. The further you go in, the deeper and deeper the snow gets. By the time you can make out the broad, grinning statue on the throne between gusts of snow laden wind, the snow chest-deep on most.

In the center, at the statues feet are two very welcome things at this point: Fur wraps of some unknown white animal large enough to drape around you and a metal pot of hot chocolate and several ceramic cups.]

HA HA HA! Bit of an effort wasn't it? I had to get your blood pumping for this one! Everyone warmed up?

It'll get easier to hold once the base builds up around it.

[he's working pretty quickly at least :|b making sure the base is good and solid before building up on top of it]

[PACKITY PACK PACK! Waves him off once the snow's built high enough to support the sheet by itself]

You should get someone to help put another section up now. . . . Do you think we could use the boards off the cart to make a roof once the walls are up?

Depends on if we can get the nails back in. it would cut off any return fire, so we'd want to leave one part clear.

That won't be a problem. We can use some of the other scrap around here for a makeshift hammer. Maybe leaving a space open near the center would be enough? They'd have to have good aim to hit it.

Or near the back, if we can predict their approach.

If we've got the windows in the front, we'll be able to see them with no problem. The fence slats will keep them from getting a good hit in through there.

[After helping trap the yard...]

What do you think about an escape route, just in case. Good hardpack tunnel.

[considers . . . and nods]

If we need to escape we can collapse the entrance of it so we can't be followed.

... Not a bad idea. Especially if we time it right.

We'll get to that too then.

Great. We'll make sure the walls and windows get finished.
