epistolium | | Taking the helm after the hugely popular Headmistress McGonagall retired, Headmaster Heavensbee had to start off the 2023-2024 school year with a bang. He had to distinguish himself in some way, set the tune for how his administration was going to run things. He spent the summer doing research, thinking and planning. What he came up with is what he has deemed the Penpal Project. It is based upon a muggle tradition of exchanging letters with someone you don't know. In an effort to increase House unity, Headmaster Heavensbee has assigned all the students anonymous penpals in other Houses, with whom they will be required to correspond during the year. Some students are curious, some are irritated, but what's clear is that it's going to make for an interesting year. Epistolium is a next-gen, canon-compliant RPG set in 2023, with an emphasis on building CR (due to a combination of optional blurbs, the penpal project, and required storylines, new characters can enter the game with more than six lines ready to play!). Your characters won't be fighting for their lives in this game; just their social lives. We run in real time; the game opened April 1! | epistoliummods | epistoliumooc | epistoliumrpg | epistopenpals

{washington d.c. :: rules :: held :: taken :: application}
Washington D.C. is the Capitol of our Nation, home to the elite and head of our Central Government. But, forget the sobriquets and the statistics. D.C. is not only hardcore. It's also complicated. Welcome to the lives of the high class and the lower class. Where if you're not apart of the 1%, you're apart of the 99%. There is no medium and some of us are not created equally. Welcome to the place where sometimes, you can't tell the difference between the lawmakers and the criminals. We are a proud city, filled with some of the most passionate of people; and the most beautifully historic statues that tell of our past and our future. We aren't just a harbinger of your life, my life, his life, or her life. We are also a big, giant cluster fuck of amazing American Chaos.

Taken Characters, Pbs, & Holds || About DDC The Rules || Application|| Wanted List The gods have not faded away, or been reborn. They are not in high school. They have not forgotten who they were. They remember, because they still exist.
Though their followers are fewer and less vocal, once a god, always a god. The important things have not changed with the passage of time, though with the advance of the mortal world, gods have discovered the joys of modernization. Because even a Muse can appreciate an iPod.
Of course the Sumerians are still insular (and a tad stuck up), the Greeks still squabble amongst themselves more than they do with the other pantheons, and the Norse… well, with Loki on the loose and Ragnarok threatened, they do have their hands full.
In every pantheon, just as in any group of individuals, you have those that are warm, friendly and open. And those that never learned to work and play well with others. How will they manage to coexist? How have they done so thus far? What happens when Anubis meets Hades? Or Thor challenges Nergal?
Come help us answer those questions and tell those stories.

A Dangerous Twist What if the Battle of Hogwarts never happened? What if, after the giant fiasco of Gringott’s, Voldemort was able to figure out what was happening in order to get the Diadem of Ravenclaw and beat a hasty retreat with Nagini? What if, five years later, the war is still raging in Britain?
Voldemort is hiding, biding his time in a fortress that is known only to his closest and most devoted followers. There he has kept his last two horcruxes safe and secret, and from there, he rules Wizarding England , asserting his agenda of absolute power over the land. Those who follow him seek to eradicate the last of the muggleborns from Britain and recreate the world in their own pure image. So far, the muggles remain largely unaffected, but everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before they’re wiped out as well.
But there is resistance. The Order of the Phoenix is still fighting strong, smuggling out those they can and planning strikes against the Death Eaters. Harry Potter and his close friends work tirelessly to try and locate and destroy the last horcruxes, so they can finally kill Voldemort and end this war.
And caught in the middle is the ministry. Filled with the neutral, the cowardly, the bureaucrats only after their own power, and spies on both sides, the ministry seems more battleground than ruling body as both sides fight for control.
One thing is clear: the war has to end. But even if and when Voldemort is defeated, what happens then? Where do you begin to rebuild the world? How do you punish the wicked, or restart an economy? How do you begin to heal?
Game Opens April 13th Characters Wanted: Dean Thomas, Lavender Brown, Parvati and Padma Patil, Terry Boot, Mandy Brocklehurst, Zacharias Smith, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Blaise Zabini, Daphne Greengrass, Remus Lupin, George and Fred Weasley, Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange and many more... |

For almost four months, the Orient Express has been designated a run-away. While the staff and designers are working diligently to retrieve their rogue express, the train itself is thwarting their plans. How, after all, do you track down a single train that can be anywhere, anywhen, in any number of realities across all the known verses? It’s a great big space out there, and they can’t search it all.
Meanwhile, the train is certainly giving the passengers a ride. From hallucinogenic gases to a murderer on board, to realities where there’s no breathable air to worlds that contain things of legend and mythos, the passengers are helpless to direct the run away train and must simply hang on and adapt as well as they can.
Between cabin fever, clashing personalities, and on-board shenanigans that don’t exactly bring a grin to everyone’s face, the passengers are forced to contend with situations outside of their daily norm. Future meets past, magic clashes with technology, and everyone is tangled up in the ever-changing environment of the train. Are you brave enough to come along for the ride?
______
Orient Express is a relatively quickly paced panfandom game set aboard a time-traveling, reality-hopping luxury train. The game’s been running strong since its opening in November of 2011.
