City Of Hills is an aim and thread friendly play by (PB)/city based community set in San Francisco, California. Writers of this community are promised creative control over their story lines. As long as things are kept realistic, there should not be an issue at all. We are a game that encourages diversity among characters and accept all types of play bys. This is a pretty basic city-wide game, although we do focus our residential selections around fourteen neighborhoods. This game also accepts characters of all ages.
Featured Neighborhoods: Bayview, Haight-Ashbury, Mission District, Mount Davidson, Mount Sutro, Nob Hill, Noe Valley, Pacific Heights, Presidio Heights, Rincon Hill, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill, The Castro & Twin Peaks |

Welcome to Harmony. It’s a lovely place, clear blue skies and attractive buildings. It’s funny, but even though all you can remember is this place, it feels like you’ve never been here before.
Why does it feel that way? Well, probably because it’s true. Sssh, don’t tell; this is a giant experiment, one you can’t get out of. We care about you here in Harmony, and you’re very important to us. We hand picked you from your world, because there was just something about you. We know you will be helpful.
It’s important that you feel at home. Almost like you’re not in an experiment at all. So we’re going to give you a new set of family, friends, and memories. Because, don’t forget – we care about you. We want you to feel at home, seeing as from now on, this is your home.
|
So here’s the gist – your character was plucked from their world, and brought to this one. It’s unclear if it’s an alternate dimension or even a different planet. The place has similar atmosphere and appearances as Earth, but how would you ever know if it was or not? From there, something happened to their memory. It’s not clear how that happened, either. All you know is there is a little scar, on your neck, right below your hairline. Maybe you had it before. Or maybe, it has nothing to do with your memory. You have no idea.
After you were brought here, and your memory erased, a new one was implanted. Some got a new brother or sister, some got new friends, and some even got new spouses or fiancés. It’s weird, really. You feel like you know them so well, and at the same time, like you don’t know them at all. You have a job, and a place to live. You have a memory of going to school at Harmony High, and parents that have died peacefully. You remember every aspect of this place, because after all, you’ve lived here since you were born.
In addition to all that, from time to time, you’ll get a call from the Doctor’s office. You’ll come in, they’ll give you a supposedly harmless shot, and you’ll be on your way. Strange thing is you’ll start to feel really different after you get that shot.
Is it the shot? Or is it something inside you?
Welcome to Harmony, a brand new AU Panfandom RPG. We're so happy to have you here. |

NO SUCH PLACE: An Original Fantasy/Supernatural RPG |
[21 Sep 2009|03:52pm] |

“ . . . All that was left in Pandora’s box was hope.” During the 21st century, a global pandemic swept over the world. They dubbed it the “Pandora virus,” or PV for short, because of its devastating nature. The virus tore through the world’s population. It killed almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and a worldwide war began. Much of earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine.
There were other creatures who inhabited this planet along with human beings, though. They had just been in hiding for many centuries. Praeternaturals, they were called. Legendary beings and creatures believed to be nothing more than myth. They were also biologically immune to the Pandora virus. With the foresight of the oracle Euryale, groups of praeternaturals learned of what was to come and prepared for the preordained onslaught. They had built safe havens protected by magic in hidden areas across the world. Taking in as many humans and praeternaturals alike as they could before the war, these communities provided a stable living environment for the survival of all species.
One such safe haven is an ancient land once inhabited by elves, abandoned by them long ago, and renovated into a sanctuary. They call it Elysium. Located in the modern-day Republic of Macedonia near Lake Ohrid, it was once a part of Greece. Now, it is a part of the process to one day rebuild the world. |
Game Objective. No Such Place is an original fantasy roleplaying game established in December 2007. We actively incorporate game-wide plots that affect all players, but we strongly encourage individual plots among players as well. The world itself is completely interactive and reactive. Whether you prefer action, drama, romance, or horror — this game allows you to play all and pick your favorite to explore. Your objective is to create your own story. However, beware the setting. Everything affects everything, and like a domino effect, No Such Place will affect every character and player with things beyond their control.
Go ahead, take refuge in the land of Elysium. We promise you'll be safe. |

The year is 2053; eight years have passed since the opening of the Project Power Ranger Academy and the world seems to be on it's way toward recovery. However, with every bit of light, there is an equal amount of darkness. Evil exists and will forever remain a part of the human race, and even with the millions of grateful human beings, peace is not a constant. Riots are becoming more and more common and are particularly serious in the Southern US, violent and involving the lives of thousands. Politicians are divided, some fighting for another ban to be placed on the Rangers, accusing them of trying to control the world, of dominating, of being too powerful and unnecessary. On a much more frightening level, the existence of hostile aliens and other creatures have returned to being in the public eye. The rise of Exus and Velloh have done nothing to soothe the angry politicians and citizens, rather adding fuel to the fire. The sibling aliens have taken up residence in the Moon Palace, abandoned ages ago by the villains of the past. Not much is known of these aliens aside from the very simple fact: they are not here to make peace.
{ This is not your child's Power Rangers. While the basics were drawn from the original television show, Back To Action! is what the show would have been if it had been produced for an adult audience. Within, you will find intense violence, heavy political plots and even - yes, of course - sexual content. This game is OC only with emphasis placed on creativity and player control over their plots. Ideas and world-expansions are not only welcomed but encouraged. }

Victorian Nocturne - Originals Wanted |
[21 Sep 2009|09:02pm] |

London, England The 19th Century
By order of the crown, 1891 sees the activation of a covert organisation accountable to the monarch. Formed in response to occult aspects of the Whitechapel murders, 'Royal Inquisitors' are tasked with elimination of supernatural threats to the interests of the British Empire. These crusading guardians are vested with the authority to root out occult elements that could corrupt society. Regarded with respect and fear by the few who know of them, they are a highly secretive order, dedicated to upholding civilisation against dark, primordial forces.
Unlike knights of old, they have access to the most radical technological advances of the era. Down the centuries, champions of light and dark have always waged war. Now, demons, vampires, witches, werewolves dhampir, ghosts of the damned and more find themselves on the same side, drawn together against an enemy using steam, iron and electricity.
