Salutations

Welcome to RPG-Connect! This community was designed as the middle ground for rpg advertising communities on insanejournal. When I was browsing IJ, I came across two types of ad communities: the over-restricted and the under-restricted. To me, most of the communities had lost it's personal touch with the roleplaying world. Here at RPG-Connect, our goal is to help quality players and games find one another. Are you looking for a home to place your character or find a person to fill your roleplaying needs? Do you want your game ad to reach the right kind of people? Look no further because you'll find that here.

RIP Darkersls

[info]rpg_connect
The loss of Darkersls has pushed me to create this: [info]plot_central. This community can be used to put your ideas forward for a psl or gpsl if you're searching for a plot line or have an idea you want to see if anyone bites at. Line requests or line ideas for games can also be posted there as well. Game ads are not welcome but can still be posted here. Right now it's only me running it, but if anyone wants to jump on board, feel free to poke me. Spread the word and join!

A quick note from your sponsor

Cheerio to everyone out there!

Hope you're enjoying the new touches I've made to community. I just wanted to reach out--after all this is a community where everyone can thrive, no matter what branch of rp you come from. I find that there's a serious lack of openness on IJ that doesn't involve some form of anonymity and I'd like this little corner of the woods to be different. Feel free to reach out to me at any time. If you have a suggestion on how to make this community better, feel free to respond to this post or drop me a line. What would you like to see most in this group? What kind of help, if any, do you need?

I promise not to bite and toss your ideas out--even if it's about your own game, I'm willing to give advice or aid. With that said, if this community starts to maintain an active pace, I know I'm probably going to need some help running things around here. So, to get a jump start, if anyone is interested, let me know in a comment or in my dropbox. We'll work out some form of further communication.

A few notes before I leave you all. I know I was absent for a bit and that's thanks to real life, but please remember that all ads or requests, that use tables or div codes, must be smaller than 500 pixels. This note is more for your benefit than it is for me--your ad will be cut off if it's not the correct size as it conflicts with the journal's layout code. Also remember to insert the proper tags to your posts--this is to avoid repetitive ads and it gives everyone a chance to be on the front page. People can also simply find what they're looking for immediately without having to scroll through all the ads.

Everyone has been really good about spamming rule and it's much appreciated! I will be taking game reviews if anyone wants one--just make sure to put in a request! [info]circle_s I haven't forgotten about you, and I plan to get on yours asap if you still desire a review. Also, if there are any tags that you want added to the list that you don't see, drop a line here and I'll add them.

Anyway, enjoy the community! RP is and always will be about fun, first and foremost :)

PS - random but I would like to feature a worthy rpg once a month on the side module with your game's button and a link to the rpg. I haven't decided how I'll go about this--whether it be contest or me just ruffling through all the games on IJ, but I think it would be easier if I have you guys at least submit your game somehow so I know whose active. Suggestions, ideas, and notes on this are also welcome.
