No one knows how they found themselves in this village, but what they soon find out is that almost all aspects of life in this village are controlled by Rita Skeeter. She knows your deepest, darkest secret -- the one you would never reveal to a single soul -- and if you refuse to play by her rules, she has promised to expose you. What’s more? Your secret will be revealed and you will never be able to return to the time and place you left. There will be only one escape: death. Though your leisure time will be your own, you must live and work where she tells you. She will assign you an occupation, a place to live, and grant you a reasonable allowance to begin your new life in Lockewood Village. The additional twist? Individuals from all times may be transported to Lockewood Village at any point in their life. Their presence will not affect the outcomes of the main timeline. Tom Riddle’s presence will not remove Lord Voldemort or prevent the First or Second Wars. New relationships may be flourish, but they will not prevent anyone from being married or born. King Char and his Queen Ella are resting peacefully in their graves, and all seems to be normal. Or is it? Ogres roam the land, hoping to capture and eat those not smart enough to escape them. Fairies cast spells, elves read minds, and books can be magical. All in all it's not your average place. Then one day something happens. A coach traveling from a far away land brings with it a sick passenger. Soon, the sickness spreads throughout the kingdom. Every day more people in Frell are dying from The Gray Death, its fingers taking hold of thousands of lives. Happily ever after was just the beginning... Fair is a role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The Fountain of Magical Brethren in the Ministry of Magic attests to the great spirit of cooperation and camaraderie that exists between wizards and other magical creatures. For centuries, the magical citizens of the wizarding world have been lead to believe that though, they have a sense of harmony with other magical creatures, they're still superior to other magical creatures. But is that really the case? With the dark Lord Voldemort gone, the magical world quickly lulled itself into a false sense of security and peacefulness. Most wizards quickly forgot the alliances they had forge to help defeat Voldemort and his followers. The goblins are growing impatient with these slights, and they believe they should be treated on a more equal footing. As wizards continue to ignore these calls for equality, going about things as they always had, the goblins move closer to all out rebellion. Wizards may soon learn the consequences of upsetting those who control the gold that helps their society run. thiefs_downfall is a post Hogawrts game set in 2003. [26 Apr 2009|05:37pm] GAME × OOC × MOD PLOT × RULES × APPLICATION AVAILABLE × FAQS × PBs CONTACTS × FRIENDS × BACK COMM IN THE 1970s, the wizarding world saw the rise of Lord Voldemort, fearsome leader of the movement to eradicate muggles and muggleborns from the world. The first five years of Voldemort's active stage were relatively quiet though. Very few actually knew an uprising of the purist movement was coming soon - and in the most extreme of ways. Towards the middle of the decade, he and his Death Eaters came more into the forefront, staging attacks on the muggle and wizarding worlds alike. No witch or wizard could believe what was happening. Not since the time of Grindelwald had such havoc been wrought on their world, let alone to the muggles as well. However, life goes on. People get married, have children, continue living their lives, even with the constant threat over their heads. Students continue to attend Hogwarts and learn, fight, and fall in love. The fifth years prepare for their O.W.L.s. As they hurdle toward their exams, stress, along with the sparks of conflicting ideas, put strains on students and the relationships they hold, particularly one of Lily Evans and Severus Snape. The pinnacle moment of the breaking of their friendship was talked about for months afterwards. Severus Snape called his best friend a Mudblood in a moment of humiliation and anger, causing the demise of their friendship, and putting into motion the events and actions that would eventually lead to the death of Lily and James Potter and baby Harry Potter destroying Voldemort the first time. But... what if it had not happened? What if James had not approached Severus and found something else to direct his attention towards? Would things have been different? Could it have changed the course of history or would Lily and James marry still and have the saviour of the wizarding world? Only time can tell. Death Eaters are infiltrating Hogwarts by recruiting students within, student's families are being torn apart, and the world is spiraling into a war based on bloodlines. Through all of this, how will Hogwarts students lead their lives? Where will their loyalties fall as they are forced to choose between joining Voldemort or defying him? One thing is certain though: They will feel like they are not in control of their own destinies. Open since March 2008!
